Manual gear oil or Dextron transmission II & III fluids is never meant for back axles(rear differentials)

For Pilot, ZDX & MDX, they use VTM-4 differential fluid
For CRV, HRV, Element & Crosstour, thet Dual Pump II

Oxygen sensor 2 & ECT

Rough idling is either cylinder misfire or dirty throttle body

Good morning all, I need urgent advice with my 2008 Honda accord. One of the bolts holding the steering pump got broken, for my mechanic to change it he had to being the engine out, I lost AC gas, transmission oil, steering oil etc. What are the recommended transmission and steering oil for this car and also he just informed me that my fans stopped working after installing the engine. I had intentions of draining the transmission fluid and replace with a recommended one because I don't know the one that was previously used (3months old in my hands). Thanks

Honda Genuine power steering fluid and ATF-DW1 are the recommended fluids.
Make sure you get the original as the market has been flooded with clones from China

It's like Honda Accord from 2008 to 2011, mostly have engine failures at some point? I've seen alot of post and threads in that regards.

I so much love that Car. I'm planning on getting a clean Nigerian used. But my fear is the Engine failure.

Problem is 3 parts

1. Our fuel

2. Engine oil used.

3. Mechanics

Our fuel ends up clogging the catalytic converter of most Honda and ford vehicles, if not diagnosed properly plugs, coils, injectors, valves, piston rings, are tampered with looking for a fault.

A blocked catalyst will cause sever heat on the exhaust side of the head cylinder destroying valve stem seals and compression rings resulting in bluish smoke.

For diagnosing sluggish movement start with the catalytic converters.

Engine oil types.

The use of 20w50 in a Honda engine is unforgivable in a Honda engine, for some reason they just don't recover well from it, and switching back usually causes oil burn.

Wrong oils cause sludge, cause faster wear and tear within a short time.

Honda's have really good builds, and if you are the first Nigerian user with the right fluids, the only issue you should have in about 4-5 years is a blocked catalytic converter

Mechanics is self explanatory

Check the differential fluid(axle oil)

The vtm4 system doesn't actuate at all when you press the button in the correct gear. Can the fluid be the cause?
