Rick Gates Sentenced To 45 Days In Jail, Three Years Probation https://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/rick-gates-sentenced-to-45-days-in-jail-three-years-probation Paul Manafort associate Rick Gates was sentenced Tuesday to three years of probation and 45 days in jail, which he will be allowed to serve on weekends. He was also ordered to pay a $20,000 fine. U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson noted that, in weighing the sentence, she also had to consider the signal it would send to others who committed similar crimes. Gates served as deputy chair for the 2016 Trump campaign, and, before that, as a key business partner of Manafort during his lobbying efforts in Ukraine. Unlike Manafort, however, Gates began cooperating with prosecutors early in Robert Mueller’s Russia probe and continued to do so for more than 21 months after pleading guilty to conspiring against the United States and lying to the FBI. ...Trump's campaign manager, long time attorney, longtime political operative & his National Security Advisor have all been found guilty of felonies. 2 in prison, 2 on the way...yet TreasonTrump would say his campaign team had done nothing wrong... 2 Likes 1 Share

basilico:Agreed that there is a no love lost between Trump and popular media, but what does that have to do with anything. Trump had never liked the media, so it's understandable that the media also does not like Trump. It's similar to the case in Nigeria, Buhari has always hated the press from his military dictatorship days, and the media too does not like Buhari. The only difference in Trump case is that the constitution prevents Trump from persecuting the media. He has tried to, but the courts will not allow him to. What has Clinton got to do with it? Do you have proof that Hillary Clinton asked her supporters and donors to write the letter? All allegations against trump is attributed to Clinton, deepstate or the Democrats. You don't even want to discuss the allegations themselves, that is called escapism. Are you insinuating that executive privileged stops the executive arm of government from being answerable to the congress? So whenever the congress summons the president or any other member of the executive, he can cite executive privileged to avoid answering to congress. I wish Hillary (through Obama) had cited executive privileged to avoid testifying to congress in the numerous Bengazi and email server investigations. You are saying the executive is no longer answerable to the legislature. That's the very definition of dictatorship. Because, the legislature is supposed to represent the people. It's not about what Zelensky said, it's about what the diplomats and state department officers involved with Ukraine says. Zelensky would be stupid to say he was blackmailed by Trump. He has clearly said, he does not want to involve himself or his country with America's domestic politics. If he said Trump pressured him to investigate the Bidens, the Republicans and people like you would have descended on him and Ukraine. You already accuse Ukraine of being anti-Trump Proof and details, and the crime according to US laws. Same thing - state the crime and laws broken. Was the law broken by Hunter Biden US laws or Ukrainian laws? Sitting on board of companies is no big deal. During annual general meetings, anyone can be appointed to the board of any company. It could be for any number of reasons determined by the shareholders. Okonjo iweala is a board member of over half a dozen international companies. T. Y. Danjuma is a member of board of director of a dozen companies. Who sits on a board of a company is the perogative of the company. It's not the business of anybody else and it can never be a crime. Hunter Biden was not the only person on the board of Burisma. Usual false narrative of Republicans. Victor Shokin was alleged by anti corruption organisations in Ukraine, the EU, The UK, the IMF and the US of being corrupt and aiding corrupt oligarchs. They all demanded his sacking in unison. So it was not Joe Biden's saying sack Shokin because he is investigating Burisma. Usual right wing conspiracy theories. Witnesses for what? Who was conducting an investigation that need witnesses? The Democrats led house only called for witnesses some 3 weeks ago, and the senate is yet to decide whether to call witnesses or not. Yes everybody agreed that Trump's aid to Ukraine was better than Obama's, the bone of contention was the tying of conditions (investigate the Bidens) to the aids. Yes, the president can demand investigations if he thinks a crime had been commited, like he demanded investigations into the FISA warrant that started the Russia interference probe. He can however not demand personally for foreign leaders to investigate the Bidens or any other US citizens (especially with blackmail ). He has the justice department who can liaise with other countries through legitimate means to investigate crimes commited in foreign countries. The irony in this whole Biden issue is that Barr and the justice department wanted nothing to do with the Ukraine issue. 2 Likes |

TheShopKeeper:Trump's campaign team did nothing wrong. You can't be charging people with process crimes and things they did before they even joined the Trump campaign then turn around to pin it on the Trump campaign. can you name just one person that has been convicted for something they did for or on behalf of the Trump campaign? Rick Gates was sentenced for his lobbying efforts in Ukraine long before he joined the Trump campaign 8 Likes 3 Shares |

A FISA Court Judge has issued an unprecedented public rebuke of the FBI In a stunning rebuke of the FBI, the FISA court severly chastised the FBI for the FISA abuses brought to light in the recent Inspector General’s Report. She said the frequency of unsupported & contradicted FBI claims "calls into question whether information contained in other FBI applications is reliable" There were at least 17 significant "errors” Someone must be held accountable! 8 Likes 3 Shares |

...Trump's letter to Pelosi on eve of Impeachment... https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Letter-from-President-Trump-final.pdf President Donald Trump on Tuesday savaged House Democrats' impeachment proceedings in a six-page letter to Speaker Nancy Pelosi that read like a collection of his most vitriolic tweets. The fiery missive, frequently punctuated with exclamation points, came loaded with hyperbolic assertions — including the president's claim that "more due process was afforded to those accused in the Salem Witch Trials" and his accusation that Pelosi and House Democrats “view democracy as your enemy!” Trump charged that the current impeachment drive “represents an unprecedented and unconstitutional abuse of power” by Democratic lawmakers that he argued has been “unequaled in nearly two and a half centuries of American legislative history.” Story Continued Below “By proceeding with your invalid impeachment, you are violating your oaths of office, you are breaking your allegiance to the Constitution, and you are declaring open war on American democracy,” he wrote. The heated correspondence comes a day before the House is expected to vote on articles of impeachment charging the president with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, likely making Trump the third president in U.S. history to be impeached. 1 Like |

Timbuktuo: It seems Trump has infected his worshippers with a lying disease. Muller report never exonerated Trump and never called the Russian interference nonsense. This is what the Mueller report said; "A statement that the investigation did not establish particular facts does not mean there was no evidence of those facts.” Mueller firmly established Russian interference to the benefit of Trump and detriment of Hillary; "a Russian entity carried out a social media campaign that favored presidential candidate Donald J. Trump and disparaged presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.” “a Russian intelligence service conducted computer-intrusion operations” against the Clinton campaign and then released stolen documents. Mueller found at least four acts by Trump in which all elements of the obstruction statute were satisfied – attempting to fire Mueller, directing White House counsel Don McGahn to lie and create a false document about efforts to fire Mueller, attempting to limit the investigation to future elections and attempting to prevent Manafort from cooperating with the government. Mueller categorically stated, “while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him. ” I don't know where you guys got the "Mueller exonerated Trump " from. 2 Likes |

Fifth Pentagon official announces resignation within a week http://www.digitaljournal.com/news/politics/fifth-pentagon-official-announces-resignation-within-a-week/article/563823 The departure of Ambassador Tina Kaidanow, a longtime State Department official who joined the Pentagon in 2018, represents the fifth high-level official at the Defense Department to either exit or announce plans to leave the Pentagon this week. There has been so many resignations in the past week that a scorecard is needed to keep track of the names and their positions. Let's see if we can put this in some sort of order. The list is based on reporting from Defense News. *On December 12, it was announced that Randall Schriver, the Pentagon’s top Asia policy official, would be leaving shortly. *On December 13, Jimmy Stewart, who served as the acting undersecretary of defense for personnel and readiness since October 2018, announced his retirement from federal service. *On Tuesday, December 17, Steven Walker, who served as the 21st head of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, will leave the position on Jan. 10 for an industry job. *On Wednesday, December 18, Kari Bingen, principal deputy undersecretary of defense for intelligence, announced she will resign effective January 10. *Tina Kaidanow, the senior advisor for international cooperation in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment, The additional five vacancies will add to a number of openings within the Defense Department, with six of the 21 deputy assistant secretary of Defense policy jobs still empty. Let's see, that will make 11 openings out of 21 positions. And The Hill is reporting that there are several other roles being filled in an "acting capacity" - like the chief management officer, comptroller, deputy undersecretary of Defense for policy, Secretary of the Navy, and assistant Defense secretary for international security affairs. |

Mark Meadows to leave Congress at end of term...possible choice at VP candidate to replace Mike Pence... https://www.foxnews.com/politics/mark-meadows-to-leave-congress-at-end-of-term Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., will not seek re-election, he confirmed in a statement Thursday. The four-term Congressman said that he will be retiring at the end of his term. “This was a decision I struggled with greatly. These last 8 years, I have been so blessed to serve the people of NC-11 and help give a voice to millions of Americans who feel Washington, D.C. has forgotten them,” he said in a statement. The staunch supporter of President Trump touted the accomplishments he has seen the administration achieve. "Since serving alongside President Trump, I have been a witness to historic economic prosperity, unemployment levels I only dreamed of when I took office, tax and regulatory reforms that are putting the American worker first, our Israeli embassy moved to Jerusalem, and trade deals that were once thought impossible," he said. "I have seen our law enforcement and first responders receive the support they deserve and our military once again put on a path to maintain its superiority." Meadows went on to say that his work with Trump and the administration "is only beginning," and he is "fully committed to staying in the fight with him and his team."

All the 3 letter agencies from CIA to FBI to NSA will be dismantled and rebuilt by Trump and they know it, reason they have been trying to take him out. These organizations have become so powerful and almost like countries of their own in the pockets of the deepstate that Trump can't easily get hold of them when they should be under him. coluka: 3 Likes |
