You're not alone sis. I ate swallow(fufu) with okra soup in the morning, few minutes I started shivering cos of hunger, I drank tea with egg bread and plantain. I slept off, woke up very hungry, prepared yam on fire, drank goldenmorn and smoothie to hold the hunger, I brought out 5pieces of yam to eat with red oil cos the goldenmorn did nada. I still ate after cooking the vegetable yam. Around 4pm I ate okra soup.

Lemme eat now, the same thing happened to me with my first. At 16wks, nausea and food aversion came in. I saw terrible things.

biko I want to eat like u. My first pregnancy was like this and this is even worse. I'll eat little and the tommy is full. Any additional meal leads to bloating. I had a 3.4kg handsome baby then so I'm rest assured all will be well this time too. I only wish I can eat well like pregnant women do and i envy them a lot.

The rate at I eat dis days is scaring me, am trying to control it but I can't. If I don't eat when am hungry nausea will kick in. Pls is there anything I can do to suppress d hunger.

Exactly how I feel some days. So I just decided to help myself by drinking lots of water and eat a lot so that I won't be nauseous because that vomiting, I don't like it at all so I suppress it with food and water.

Give in to your cravings.
Pregnancy has different phases, all dictated by what your body needs. If you're always thirsty it means your body needs water. If you're craving for meat, you're most likely low on iron, if you crave for sugar then your blood sugar may be low.
You can help yourself by bulking your meals with veggies. So if you really want to eat rice, take a little rice and bulk it with salad or vegetable soup. That way, you eat a lot but most of it is low calories.

Please I want to ask a question, when one is feeling nauseous, is it wrong to suppress it? God that's what I do but I just want to know if it's OK. Besides I hate vomiting.
Also at 10weeks 5days, is it normal to spot cos I noticed last week, saw my doc and he gave me bed rest which I've tried observing but the spotting is on and off. However I have no cramp except I'm stressed. Should I be worried about the spotting? Thanks.

Are you sick, feel sick or you just did a random test where he saw an unusual wbc count?
Does your Dr know you're pregnant? If yes, then the it's possible that he believes it's better to treat the infection first.
Infections can also cause miscarriage in some people.

I can imagine the feeling.
What I would say is don't close the door totally.
The nausea or aversion will recede at some point or may shift to another food entirely.
So always check to see if the aversion is still there.

For my last pregnancy, I ate chicken like mad in the first trimester, got nauseous in the 2nd trimester from even smelling the oil or broth and 3rd trimester saw me eating my chicken again

First, your body could just be building up wbc for a number of reasons. Infection comes with one or more of these symptoms (hotness, itchiness, redness, soreness etc). I'm not ruling out that you may have an infection but prescribing drugs without knowing the kind (bacterial or fungal or viral) or the location (vaginal, systemic, skin) is a bit risky for me considering your status.
I'd say see an OBGYN or go ahead and register for antenatal so you can be monitored by specialists.

Just keep the place neat and dry. Take your pain meds round the clock (I started with diclofenac every six hours) ask your doctor first. Rest and take your antibiotic plus lots of fruits and or vit c.

Don't hesitate to see your doctor should the pain increase or you feel very unwell.

If you feel good suppressing it and can, then go ahead otherwise just let it out and be yourself.

Slight spotting is expected just adhere to the bed rest drink lots of fluid (even ice if you cant stand room temp water) don't stress yourself and you will be fine in no time.

Hello all. Please where are the experienced mamas that were telling me this MS will subside when I enter 2nd trimester? Here I am o, can't eat well...if I drink water too much, I will vomit. I can't eat fruit nor eat veggies . I don lean like something wey I no wan mention. Please don't tell me this will also continue through 2nd trimester. Ha! Well done to my mummy o....it's really easy not to say the opposite.

BTW....Abuja mummies, please what's your experience with FMC, airport road. That's where I want to register for my ANC. Also, I learnt they have private section there where you won't have to go there very early in the morning cos of population. Anyone who has experience there should please enlighten me.
