NOTE:
The Bible uses words that describe the sun, with only a few known exceptions, as "moving," though some believe that words like "rising" and "down" imply the sun is moving "up" and "down" over the alleged curvature of the earth.

In addition to spinning globe earth believing Christians completely missing the fact that the Bible uses words which describe the sun as "moving" they also fail to analyze the original Hebrew and Greek meaning of those same words.

The original Hebrew and Greek words have meanings, such as, to come, to go, to irradiate (or shoot forth beams), to appear, as soon as it appears, eastside, eastward, an entrance, the west, by which came, as cometh, in coming, entering, entrance into, entry, where goeth, westward.

And, these words are relating to the placement ("direction" of the sun in relation to the context of the particular Biblical account.

Unless one is willing to depart from the true meanings of these words and cause contradictions with other verses that state the earth as being FLAT, there is no case to be made for the sun to be "rising or "going down" over the alleged curvature of the imaginary and unprovable ball/sphere shaped earth.

We cannot discover how high the sky is above us or how deep the earth is below. The same is true with the minds of kings. We cannot understand them.

Who should we believe, the person that wrote this or the person that measured the depths of the earth.

To think that early last year some pope somewhere insinuated to some journal that there's no hell. Of course people who believe that gravity is at the center of the earth and molten magma, or just iron core or whatever they believe will also believe that there's no hell.

If the earth has great depth it's likely true that hell is there.


I must applaud the devilish genius that thought of the concept to deceive many.

A lot of people don't believe in hell anymore because somehow they think they "know " what is beneath the surface of the earth.

If the verses that mention the earth’s four corners do not refer to a flat earth, then to what do they refer? Let me begin with
Revelation 7:1 , which speaks of four angels standing on the four corners of the earth and restraining the four winds of the earth. Even the most ardent students of hyper-literal interpretation of the Bible acknowledge the frequent poetic elements and the use of imagery in the book of Revelation. This extends to the many occasions where numbers appear in the book of Revelation. In this one verse, the number four appears three times. In each usage, the things mentioned are intimately tied together, so there is a one-to-one correspondence between each of the three groups of four.
The four winds refer to the four directions from which winds can come: north, south, east, and west. We often use this nomenclature today, such as saying that the wind is “out of the west.” The repetition of the number four (“four angels . . . four corners . . . four winds”) ties each angel and each corner with one of the four compass directions. Therefore, there is no warrant to interpret these four corners literally, particularly when it does not match any cosmology.
The phrase “four corners of the earth” probably was an idiom in the Apostle John’s time, much as it is in English today, referring to every distant location on the earth. He has reduced scripture into a poetic book, but between him and the writings, I would prefer he calls himself an ideot than calling all the numerous phrases in scripture as idiomatic after stating that flat earth was a prevalent belief at the time.
