Good morning guys. Like how much BTA can one hold to POE for a family? We are doing Istanbul first for 3 nights and then Paris for 10 nights |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by babs4all: 4:58pm On Dec 18, 2019 |
davodyguy:They hardly ask questions about BTA at POE. Just calculate what will be enough for your stay. France is a bit expensive. |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by davodyguy: 8:11pm On Dec 18, 2019 |
babs4all:Thanks France is a bit expensive. The mistake I made was not booking more nights in Istanbul. We booked 3 nights and 4 day time and all the tours for entire 4 days including visits to Lego Land, Madame Tausands, bosiphorous boat cruise etc are all under 100k including hotel. But the tours I bookmarked in Paris are almost 300k for just 10 days. Its crazy and regretful. I'm planning $2000 and €1000 together (N1,200,000) as PTA even though all tours in Istanbul and accommodation in both Paris and Istanbul fully paid already. Do you think this is much, considering we holding our master cards that can also be used for payment? |

davodyguy:The cash is okay and don't meet the threshold for declaring, so you are good to go. I hope you enjoy your stay in Paris, and be prepared to do a lot of Taxis and Ubers (with slightly higher prices). The strike is really making mobility quite difficult! |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by davodyguy: 11:38pm On Dec 18, 2019 |
davide470:Wow, what a wrong timing. I'll just try to be positive sha cos of my family. There are some work related issues that I need to fix in Nigeria. I mean serious one, but wifey would not understand. She's over prepared |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by davide470(m): 11:54pm On Dec 18, 2019 |
davodyguy:You really have to be positive and maximize the moments Istanbul and Paris will have to offer, notwithstanding the issues with work or strike or anything else. Family time is key! |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by babs4all: 6:10pm On Dec 19, 2019 |
davodyguy:That's a whole lot of money. Please monitor the situation of things in Paris before you travel. Without public transportation running in Paris, live can be miserable for visitors. There's an ongoing strike that has paralyzed public transportation with skeletal Services. Paris is a beautiful city. You can reduce your stay in Paris if you can talk to your hotel and get a refund. With that you can do another 3 days in Amsterdam. Another beautiful city. 2 Likes |

babs4all:Thanks so much for this response. That's why I like this forum. Some really nasty people and some real human beings are here. Paid ₦300k for 10 nights in Paris via Airbnb Booked Seine River boat cruise (hoping this has nothing to do with the strike) for 26/12/19 Book Big Bus Tour hop on and hop off Bus(hoping this isn't going to be affected by the strike too) 25/12/19. From Boxing day we might have to move to Brussels or Brugge or even Amsterdam. Quite unfortunate. Just that my wife wouldn't want to go alone. I have a court case that I need to attend to on Monday as defense counsel. This life |

Hi, What is the name of your Hotel? I paid N307,000 for Six Nights (Standard Double Room) davodyguy: |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by davodyguy: 9:50pm On Dec 19, 2019 |
Lee310:The only tour I paid for before application is the Seine River Cruise, which is about ₦13,000+ for the family. I didn't pay for hotel before Visa application, neither did I book any tour. 90% done after visa approval. We also obtained Turkish Visa, which is only granted after you must have been granted a Schengen visa |

Hi, Can a Turkish E-visa be granted for holders of single entry Schengen Visa? Cyberknight: |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Beverlyhills: 8:27am On Dec 20, 2019 |
Yes it can be granted as long as it's still valid within the period of travel. You should use either Turkish airlines,,Pegasus airline, onur air or Atlasglobal Airlines. Those are the prerequisites for a Turkish E visa. In event you fly another airline from the above mentioned, you dont qualify. You can do multi cities booking- lagos -cdg- Istanbul- lagos with Turkish airlines. josephb: |

Hi, Also in an Event a three month evisa is granted, and your Schengen visa expires shortly after a month, can the evisa still be used? In other-words, what is the validity and numbers of entry issued (Turkish E-visa). Beverlyhills: |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Beverlyhills: 9:28am On Dec 20, 2019 |
Unfortunately Nigeria doesnt qualify for a 3 months Visa. Once you input your country it reads only 30days. josephb: |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by davodyguy: 8:46pm On Dec 20, 2019 |
Beverlyhills:But that 30 days can be spread and not necessarily in one stretch within the visa Validity period |

Arrived Istanbul now to have a feel of Turkey for few days before heading to Paris. Turkey did well to promote Tourism by giving E visa to applicant with valid Schengen visa 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by davodyguy: 11:49am On Dec 21, 2019 |
Candybright:This place is a junk ground like Ajegunle or Ìsàlè Eko. It's because they dashed us Visa for $40 each, that I decided to spend 3 days here. Not worth it one bit. Taxi drivers don't speak English, Hotel attendants don't speak English, we started communicating with signs and hands. The damn cold is killing. The heater can't even prevent me from having flu like symptoms. SMH |
