Good day house,

My epever charge controller just stopped working after the installer tried to change the inverter from luminous to blue gate... it jsut ddnnt come on again. He said it is temperature sensor. Could this be true. Please i need the expert's opinion on this. The bluegate inverter is new. 24V 2KVA. MPPT charge controller is 40A. solar capacity is 1200W. Thank you

Hello house,

thank you for the prompt answer to my question. the installer however insisted that he disconnected the solar panel before removing the inverter cable, which i doubt and contradicts the report of my brother that was around when he came. right now, he is looking for how to get it fixed, hopefully it works and as @NiyiOmoIyunade advised, we wont fight but will resolve amicably. Thank you all for the prompt response.

One more expert opinion please, the blue gate that i changed to does make a lot of noise, i mean the fan. it is still under warranty and i have the option of changing it if i dont like it, please can you recommend any good inverter : 24V , between 1.5KVA and 2. Thank you all. .

We have professional installers on this thread, some people will run away because of price and come here to complain. Complains on these thread is now more than talks about latest solar and renewable innovations, equipment reviews etc. This must stop in 2020 .my 2 kobo

Hi sir, more knowledge sir! thank you for your input. With all due respect, location is a constraint for me. I admit i have limited knowledge about solars and inverters but good enough to know when things are not the way they should be and i am aware there are professional installers on this thread, that is why i seek first, second and many opinions when i am unsure about things. would appreciate if you could recommend a good installer for me based in Sokoto. Bad thing is that i am requesting a change of inverter and the installer (who is also the seller) is insisting he cannot change the inverter or refund my money because he has broken the warranty seal of the inverter. I am at a loss of what to do because truthfully, i have concerns and reservation about the blue gate inverter, he is insisting that the wiring of my house might be faulty. I dont think so because i have used two luminous and most recently prag and no issues with house wiring. Could bluegate be that sensitive?

I believe your inverter is still working and your controller is the issue. Also it's rare for epsolar to get damaged like that as I have only seen situation like this happen to morning star controller. What is the size of your array.

1.2KW solar panels. the epsolar itself isn't working, fortunately, i had a PWM controller that i was using before. I just reverted back to it in the mean time pending resolution of the fault on the MPPT.

bluegate inverters make a heck of a noise, hv seen it in action in a pals house. the noise no be here. its a default fan setting/noise
