Good moves but completion matters more than inauguration. |

BeachTime: I tried to download the information for the official Awka capital territory masterplan so you can read it but the website is down. The last time I looked at the masterplan was back in 2016. Within the zone, there is a particular section that they marked out to build a modern business district. This particular project is close to the central business district designated area but it’s not the district itself. 2 Likes |

Your useless comment is needless. I no say you are pained, the completion of the project will further send you down the drain in tears. Face your useless and miserable Owerri. [s] Abagworo:[/s] |

I will keep dropping suggestions as they spring up in my mind. How capable are we and how feasible is Undergrounding for our power distribution in such modern cities? cc Anambralstson, Horsepower101, AmericanQuarter |

iSlayer: With the Awka millennium city, I am not sure but with the Enyimba economic city, Geometric power plant will supply them power. They have already signed power purchase agreement with Enyimba Economic City company. I read all the plans carefully. I am yet to find and read any detailed plan for Awka Millennium city when it comes to their power supply. 1 Like |

iSlayer: Certainly, and Barth Nnaji is one of the share holders in EEC company so he will work out the logistics for power.

horsepower101: Though it's virtually thrice as costly, if we're looking at truly meeting up with the modern times as is obtainable in America etc then this new cities should be designed with a consideration to Undergrounding. Most modern cities don't have power lines hanging overhead. It's outdated. Modified : I just read that update from Anambralstson. You can check it too. It has some much needed information. It states that there'll be underground cables. But it didn't say if it's power cables or radio lines. Horsepower101 |

iSlayer: Yeah I already knew that AMC will have underground cables. What I still don’t know is the source of their main power supply. You cannot power a mini city with generators or depend on regular NEPA. At least with EEC, they have geometric for dependable 24 hour power supply. 1 Like |

osamz007: Taraba can copy but they cannot paste. You know why? Because, the only rich people in Taraba are politicians. Thank God some of them are now wise to begin business with looted monies. Yet, buying and selling is not the type of investment Taraba needs, not bread factories, not block industries, not water factories, Taraba deserves better. But Darius is much concerned with cucumber and Highland tea, thank God for Uche Obi keeping entertainment lively in Jalingo. Come to think of it, where does Taraba need mega city for? Because Jalingo is the only remaining security free LGA and with the linking of Jalingo and Lau LGA via Mayo Dassa (Kona), do you see how vulnerable Jalingo was some months back? Do you also observe that Jalingo is becoming empty compared to Jalingo of 2009-2015? When peace became scarce, Igbo people left, businesses dropped and more people left to nearby LGAs and now, Jalingo is becoming expensive for ordinary man. |
