hotwax: You are definitely not a Yoruba ! The Muslim/Christian division you guys are desperately trying to create among the Yoruba people has just exposed you here. In a situation like this,a typical Yoruba does not see himself as a Muslim or Christian but as a Yoruba first. You even claimed to have come from Ile-Ife. Really ? From which of the OGBONs please ? You guys are just beating a dead horse - futile efforts ! Religion can never divide us in Yoruba land. That is just the truth no matter how hard you try. When the crisis started at Sabo in Ile Ife, the so called "Yoruba Muslims" folded their arms and watched their kinsmen being lynched by Hausa/Fulani right ?The Sabo-Lagere cab driver that initially confronted those Hausa guys, was he not a Muslim ? We don't worship religion in Yoruba land and we are eternally conscious of our "yorubaness". Fulani can dominate any other tribe in Nigeria, but certainly not Yoruba. And before anybody makes any reference to Ilorin,be sure you know the history of Ilorin and what ACTUALLY happened there. 3 Likes |
You are not getting me bro! My point is that some people would work in cohorts with the Fulanis because they think they are doing their bit for the spread of Islam. The Fulanis are masters of hiding being religion, there is no doubt they are the custodians of Islam in Nigeria.
Well analysed Deception, Lying and TaqiyyaDoes Islam permit Muslims to lie? Muslim scholars teach that Muslims should generally be truthful to each other, unless the purpose of lying is to "smooth over differences" or "gain the upper-hand over an enemy" There are several forms of lying to non-believers that are permitted under certain circumstances, the best known being taqiyya (the Shia name). These circumstances are typically those that advance the cause of Islam - in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them. QuranQuran (16:106) - Establishes that there are circumstances that can "compel" a Muslim to tell a lie. Quran (3:28) - This verse tells Muslims not to take those outside the faith as friends, unless it is to "guard themselves" against danger, meaning that there are times when a Muslim may appear friendly to non-Muslims, even though they should not feel friendly. Quran (9:3) - "...Allah and His Messenger are free from liability to the idolaters..." The dissolution of oaths is with pagans who remained at Mecca following its capture. They did nothing wrong, but were evicted anyway. (The next verse refers only to those who have a personal agreement with Muhammad as individuals - see Ibn Kathir vol 4, p 49) 5 Likes |

The culture, education and values of the SW people does not leave room for such parochial concerns and pursuits. That is why such fights never gain traction anytime some misinformed misfits try to inspire such concerns. That’s why MURIC and other such organizations set up and seconded to the caliphate in the North, who serve such parochial purposes are mostly noise makers that have no support base. It is also why the Northern Muslims detest the SW Muslims; because they can’t be brainwashed. Balogunodua: |

Sirjamo: It seems you don't really understand your Islamic religion. The history of Mohammed, the founder of your religion, tells us that when he raided communities (of unbelievers), the men were generally killed while the women were abducted, and shared amongst themselves as war booties. This is what your 'Prophet' Mohammed did in his lifetime (in addition to committing statutory rape). This is exactly what the Boko Haram terrorists are doing. So the Boko guys are actually practicing what Mohammed preached. Islam is just a violent and abhorrent religion that no decent human should be practicing. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Aidejay: This is not about religion, It's about the Fulani using Islam to carry out ethnic cleansing all over Nigeria and West Africa, they kill both traditionalists and atheists. They even kill the Hausa people and fight their fellow Muslims in Burkina Faso, Mali and other Sahelian countries, so stop trying to twist the news. 3 Likes |

You are fool hardy! You have one thing in common (most Christians) deceit, bigotry, hatred, cheating one another with the name of God. Worship of creations and forgot the CREATOR. Baseless religion, books and doctrine except deceit. Your eyes will soon clear when you meet with your CREATOR and the CREATOR of all, ALLAH. Kingspin: |

GamalNasser:another word for Islam is hypocrisy. They are foolishly cunning and tricky. The fulanis don't believe in Islam but they use Islam as a tool of control over conquered territories. Yoruba is the most vulnerable region in Nigeria due to their lack of response to intimidation and threat. All other regions can respond to threat and intimidation. Yet it is the yorubas that are solidly entrenching fulani hegemony that intends to dip the Koran in the sea. The sea happened to be in Yoruba domain. How can the Koran be dipped in the sea and the Yoruba will be ok. The Yoruba are progressive and a republican to some extent only surpassed by the igbos. Islam believe in draconian and totalitarian order and decree. 5 Likes 1 Share |
