lexy2014: Judicious use is a different argument that neither you nor I can authoritatively confirm. There where various social intervention programmes. For the micro traders,it was even loans not free money .The school feeding programme is also part of it. No nobody can rule out corruption. But if we are to always argue based on judicious use, then we would also argue that government should stop spending! Until concrete evidence to the contrary,we should argue based on available data. No data yet ,to quantify the quantum of non judicious use. 1 Like 1 Share |

rusher14: Why exactly are you stuck in the shambolic past of PDP??!... Why do you need to refer to a failed past as justification for an equally failing present??!... Can we ever move on as a nation??!... Is it when APC overtakes PDP in poor governance that you finally deem it fit to call a spade a spade??!.... Serious issues affecting you, and your generations unborn have been highlighted, and the best you have done so far is politicize while sidestepping the crux of the matter... In case you have lost track of what is truly pertinent and incisive, permit me to gently guide you back: 1. How does this administration intend to pay back this mounting pile of national debts in the face of fast dying oil market??! 2. At what point will the legislative chambers start showing absolute independence and autonomy of the executive, to checkmate excesses in the latter, as expected of in a functioning democracy??! Thank you. 1 Like |

Angelfrost: What independence are we talking about? You mean like UK did in passing Boris Johnson's Brexit deal just a few days ago? Or you mean independent like the US Senate that would clear Trump of his charges? To the issue of debt payment, the intended borrowing is for infrastructure. Infrastructure of any form can always pay for itself. Whether by way of toll, tariffs, taxes, charges etc. |

rusher14: It is very sad as Nigerians for us to see and reason basic infrastructure as an achievement in 2019. Really sad, this are just ordinary infrastructures that even Benin republic have a better road network than us. Please, the most important thing is Education, health and the Economy which we are doing so very bad in those most important aspects. Our doctors are leaving our country and very soon we will have no doctors to treat patients. We already have scarcity of doctors. The educational sector is declining year by year, what about economy, we have gone from bad to worse from the recent unemployment rate in our country. Only 10% of our graduating student gets a job. And you are talking about some cheap infrastructure that the state government is supposed to be doing for us. 2 Likes |

GamalNasser:Kikikikiki. Buhari and his cohorts are saints in the eyes of zombies. Thank God that early morning rain beats everyone. Na all of us go suffer am. Interestingly zombies are far worse off than me and you. They are the typical Almajiri nationwide. I tightened my belt once Buhari won in 2015. I knew he just returned to ruin the economy like he did in 1983. His antics since have not surprised me. 2 Likes |

rusher14: Guy get the Bleep out of my mention. U lack reasonable argument. Wait make this regime finish u go understand how they Don steal u as well. U trusting any Nigerian politician like the ones in APC fell from the sky. Now, there was a report of over 700 million naira stollen by four soldiers right? The money was meant for a top person in the North according to reports. Now, who is the person? Why has he not been made public yet? What was his plan to do with over 700 million in raw cash? Why did they go silent on the case? The answer is simple: he is a top member of the the ruling class. So, bro, if u think they aren't stealing now, u are wasting ur time. Like I said, I know ur type. And the fact that u think anyone who attacks the foolishness of this regime is a supporter of pdp shows how shallow u are. Come make I take u to my social media handle, way back 2015, I was totally against pdp. All I want is a better country. I am not a fan of any party. Pdp members decamping to apc, apc decamping to pdp. Foolishness. Ur legislators are ass licking the presidency. Then they should all resign so that we stop wasting money on their heads. If there is no need to check the executive by the judiciary and legislators, then we should save the tax payers money for something else instead of paying them for nothing. 1 Like |

The stupid thing about this write up is that no alternative and immediate solution was given on how the urgently required $23b could be sourced from. The writer was only concerned about debt burden and crticism. Even in USA,the republican senators have already declared that Trump will not be removed from office .Should an arm of government work in opposite direction to the same government? I had always maintained that it is only on issues of criminality and unconstitutionality that the senate and even the judiciary, should disagree with the executive. Lawan is just a rubber waiting to stamp any thing about good governance and constitutionality. 1 Like 1 Share |

GoodGovernance: U are talking about trader monie and school feeding programme. If I were u, I will stick with what I no or at least not expand d scope of d discussion beyond how much u no. In our previous exchange, u are d one who had earlier said that d most important thing is judicious use of funds. According to u: "The critical factor, is the judicial use of the loan to create assets/infrastructure that will generate economic benefits!" But here u are saying something different: GoodGovernance: U seem to b contradicting urself, shifting d goal post or ur stance at every point. Have u ever heard of d word accountability? In terms of data, let me help u out. D $320m abacha loot is an equivalent of N112,000,000,000. D govt said it was going to share this money among d poorest of d poor at N5000 per person. That means 22,400,000 people were to collect N5000 each. What criteria did d govt use to arrive at those who were d "poorest of d poor"? Does it have a database of those people? How did d govt inform those 22,400,000 people that they were entitled to N5000 each? When, where and how was this monies shared to these people? Did u hear anything of such? 1 Like |

juman: ^^^ They are putting party above country. To be blunt they are putting personal interests above country. This country is going back to the era of the 1980s. The SAP years and the foreign debt incurred (both from that era and the profligate era of the 1970s) put this country in serious trouble. It took years of untold suffering for Nigerians to clearly understand that the debt trap is something to avoid - at all costs. If the legislature simply approves any request from the executive - without the scrutiny that it is constitutionally required to carry out - then our 'democracy' is broken. |

rusher14: Guy, how much are you paid for all this defending you are defending this government. This is not about APC and PDP. This is about the our future and the future of the unborn. We should do better than comparing badly with bad. Don't you want good? Do you think the best these guys can offer us is more and more bad? These politicians APC and PDP unite when they want to steal from us but we are always divided when we supposed to unite and condemn what's bad. |
