OakPearl: Zenith bank is a good stock for cash flow investors, it is consistent with dividend payments and dividends growth. Dividend paid by Zenith bank quadrupled between 2006 and 2018. That means an investor who received a dividend of N1 million in 2006, got a dividend of N4 million in 2018 without increasing his or her holdings. |

TraDeRR: Jim Ovia actually got a dividend of N7.4billion after the deduction of Withholding Tax from his direct holdings. In 2019 And another dividend of a little over N4 billion after the deduction of withholding tax from his indirect holdings ie stocks bought in the names of his companies. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by OakPearl(m): 10:26am On Dec 24, 2019 |
emmanuelewumi: Nothing can be more true sir. Your nous of this market is undisputed. The part in bold is the reason at an average purchase price of N16/share in my portfolio, I have watched Zenith gallivant to over N30 and back without selling. I humorously used to say as Jim gets his fat pay cheque, I receive my little bit from same source. Interestingly, that gives me fresh funds to play with in the market every March/April. As for the interim dividend paid around every Sept/Oct, that always often takes care of Xmas expenses. Wetin be my problem again?
