I don't know why I haven't been selected, having possess all your requirements and conditions, and been among the earlier ones to contact you, but still I wasn't selected, but anyway thank you very much for your contribution, we that were not selected will keep our hopes alive, good luck to the selected ones.
kallowdean:
Congratulations to the college applicants that I have selected.

Well, it was not an easy task, reviewing almost 100 emails. Am not a perfectionist, but in all fairness, I tried my possible best.
Those selected know themselves and they are solely free to make comments here. Those not selected should not despair as many more chances will come out soon.

Some call it Christmas gift, while I call it service to humanity in all capacity we can find ourselves.
As at this month in 2016, I was still in Naija fight to get admission overseas. But now I hold an MSEE and am close to a potential PhD.
If not for God and the support I got from people like @Walspring @texterem and many selfless individuals, I would not be in the US myself.

So, glory is to God. We will continue to give back to the community for God's love.
Insha Allah, I will pay the application fees for them before December ending or first week of January.

I would consider a centre a waste of time if you’re a bit above average, download magoosh Flashcards( learn at least 1000 words) and Manhattan for maths, there are a couple of materials shared here, I think it’s a link to a google drive, that should be enough for you to pass

Hi, did you cancel your appointment? If yes , were you able to book another for a later date or you’d have to pay another MRV fee for another interview ? Because I don’t think I can come to terms with paying another MRV fee when I didn’t even initiate the cancellation. It won’t be fair
Alhamdulillaah:
Please I need help..... I pray someone can.

I initially scheduled my interview for 24 December at Lagos US embassy. However, it has been rescheduled to 27 January and my school resume on 6 January.

Anyone with idea of available date before 5th January should please help me out.

Please ejor....

I have a student who wants to renew his F1 visa that will expire on the 24th of January, someone please assist. Does he have to pay another SEVIS Fee? I need all the necessary detail so i can share with the mum
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Ajibade105(m): 1:42pm On Dec 24, 2019
The concerned person doesn't have to pay another SEVIS fee. He can renew his F1 visa in Mexico or Canada if he is still in the US...

Ok thank you, he is already in Nigeria. I guess we'll just schedule him for another interview.

Yes, he will need to go to the embassy with the print out of the sevis fee payment made earlier, I-20(updated and signed), registration for spring semester( class schedule), student ID card and other supporting documents as a registered student in the US...

Profile

ND - 3.68/5.0 CGPA (Elect)
Graduation Year - 2014
1st degree - 5.0/7.0 CGPA (Chemistry)
Graduation Year - 2019

Please suggest when i should sit for GRE next year as I'm planning for Fall 2021.

Can I also get full funding for MSc in Chemistry (Organic) with a good GRE score only or do I have to register for TOEFL too?

I'm open to school suggestions for funding although I've done my research too.

If you've not been previously denied a visa, apply for an emergency appointment. Otherwise, deferring your admission may be your surest bet if your school can't extend your resumption date by 2 weeks.

US INTERVIEW DENIED (16/12/19)
MY WIFE INTEND TO GO HAVE OUR SECOND CHILD IN THE US. They lady asked to see all the price quotes from the Doctor we intended to see in Houston Texas. We intended using WEST HOUSTON MEDICAL CENTRE , Houston Texas. We showed her the total excluding accomodation n flight was $9,200. She took a walk n returned saying that the true cost is $18k, and that the hospital gave us a discounted price. Obviously we had no idea the price was discounted. She went further to say JUST MAYBE IF we could pay the hospital b4 coming for interview... and i told her Hospitals refuse to take money prior to seeing the patient physically.
That's how we were denied.
Anyone had same experience?

You should have explained that since you’re not using insurance, out of pocket payments are always discounted (probably to encourage people).
Plus do a budget next time to include accommodation, feeding, travel tickets, transportation in us, shopping and miscellaneous. These should amount to like $20k or more.
Then be bold, and appear to understand what you’re doing.

Best wishes.

Does one require a transit visa if flying with Turkish Airline and one has two stop overs in Europe?

No, except you will like to visit Istanbul during your layover. You will need to get a transit visa to leave Atarturk airport and enter Turkey (about 50USD) and return to catch your connecting flight.

PS: Atatürk is closed now and I guess you'll be using Istanbul airport.

The stopovers are: Istanbul and Frankfurt.

The success are: Istanbul and Frankfurt.

Primarily you don't need transit visas. Getting one at Istanbul is a choice, and it depends on if you qualify.
