With the sun, heat and stress in Lagos, you want to be doing hair buns, for active little girls, who know how to play rough play, anyhow they like. Breeze too go follow join, scatter di hair. fieryy: I live in London J.UK ( sarcasm). I think I have seen it all, but I'm still open to seeing more. Many of those who do not wear extensions have very thin hair with no volume all, and I personally find nothing admirable about thin, greasy, lice-infested hair. Nothing beats the volume of the African hair. Meanwhile, how did you come to the conclusion that majority of white women do not wear extensions? Where do you live? 5 Likes |

eyinjuege: Nothing in glorifying our hair, but glorifying it whereas putting others natural hair down is disgusting. I live in Germany (no sarcasm). Most do not wear wigs. It's actually seen as sth. shameful, as it is in most western countries. Things just started changing and even at that, the average white woman does not wear wigs! 3 Likes 1 Share |

fieryy: Where have I ever mentioned wigs? I have kept on saying extensions. I even specifically mentioned clip on extensions in another post. Please, there is a big difference in extensions and wigs and both are very different. I live in the UK, not J.UK. I still don't find thin greasy hair, with no volume attractive. It is what it is. I'm not putting their hair down by saying it is thin. I'm also not putting their hair down by saying it is greasy (of course not all have greasy hair and hair lice, but fine hair are a nest for lice) My own hair is coarse too by the way. It is what it is... 4 Likes |

eyinjuege: Extensions, wigs, clips etc. It's still a nope Maybe the colored clips worn by girls on birthdays etc. But the black race still remains the one who wears all these the most. Get your facts right. They are not things the average white woman wears 2 Likes 1 Share |

midnighter: Crafty in what way? How is it racist to say black ppl look better in our own hair because of our features?? If I was saying we look better in weave wouldn't that be even more racist? Would you prefer that?? Cos you've seen someone with patchy wisps of hair leaving their house right? Weaves are not even about our features alone anyway. Bleaching the knots, gluing the lace. Black women do these things in an attempt to make weaves look natural. But the main thing about making fake hair look natural is the texture. Black women are fooling nobody. Are chinese full featured like black ppl? I honesty don't thinking saying big lips big nose don't suit an english name is racist. They're trying to say a person with those features naturally wouldn't have an English name. Which black person has STRAIGHT noses and THIN lips?? Do you know what you're saying? Those aren't our features. Don't even bring up Somali or fulani. Oppressed by who exactly? |

Biglittlelois:Thanks for educating her, o jaré. Genetics also has a lot to do with hair growth, in the same way it also dictates our features and skin tone. Skin tone differs among black people, in the same way hair texture also varies, from one person to the next. I have had natural hair for over 10 years. I have used the best conditioners and moisturisers and hair treatments you can think of, but my hair is still quite short. What does that tell you? Not every one can have long shoulder length full natural hair, if it is not part of their genes. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Biglittlelois:I guess Chris Rock went into each of the 774 local government areas in Nigeria to interview those women, and check how much each of them spent on their hairdo annually. Hehehe.... 1Sharon: No ma'am. The part in bold type refers. Length of African hair depends on genetics. 3 Likes |

1Sharon: Ive already explained what I meant by "crafty". Ive already explained why what you said is racist. Ive already stated that I dont need you to confirm whether we look better with weaves or not. We have all noticed people with natural hair who dont look good, but we wouldnt use them to suggest that nobody with natural hair looks good. Bleaching knots, gluing lace are not what we're talking about here. We're talking about you and your *inverse featurism* which is actually a tool of oppression in itself. You are oppressing yourself in oppressing others. You were talking about "rounder flatter nose" and Im telling you that Chinese people have that too, with straight hair. You now want to deflect towards "full-featured" which is not going to work. Answer the question: Do all Chinese people look ugly? Dont worry; please go ahead and try telling somebody in the UK that their big black lips dont suit their English name. I for one will be looking forward to reading your story on front page. 1Sharon: I just typed 3 lines of insults to you before realising that I am lacking an important piece of information that will clear everything. Here is my question: Have you ever travelled to Nigeria before? 3 Likes |

midnighter: And I've already explained that what I said will be racist if I said they look better in weaves. Just admit you want me to say that so you can feel better? No silly, I said blk ppl look better with naturally. Ofcourse ugly naturals will exist, but they'd look even uglier with weave. Deal with it. Yes! Chinese ppl look ugly, are you satisfied?? An english name is an appropriation, is that a lie? Yes I have been to Nigeria, and? |

fieryy: Their adults wear clip on extensions that matches their hair color, so you would never guess it's not their hair. They start wearing it from secondary school. (Just a side note- Sex is legalised where I live from age 13 provided it's with a fellow minor, so extensions are a small deal here.) So it is now a case of who wears it the most? White women have been wearing their extensions and living their lives in peace. But it becomes a problem when black women wear it? Like I have kept reiterating on this thread, black women have been doing different styles to their hair for centuries, from generations past. Some even use pangolo to style their hair . They have always been into fashion and different looks even if it makes you look like a duck. It's a phase, that will still fade for something else. 4 Likes

fieryy:Madam, keep quiet please! Which damp hair? After many folks have been telling everyone clearly, that black hair comes in different textures, you are still lumping everyone's hair into the same category. Even when black hair is damp, if your hair is the coarse, tight, curly kinky type, it would still cause you pain, when you comb it. And that has been the story with many people. Some don't have problems combing damp hair, but others do! Accept the fact that everyone' is different....haba!! 4 Likes |

1Sharon: The funniest thing is that Im sitting here with my afro blown out just looking at you in amazement. If youve already confirmed it then why are you repeating it? Exactly. So why is it so difficult for you to admit that people can look good with weave, if you can acknowledge that natural girls can look bad without it? Why are all natural girls automatically better looking than all weave-wearing girls irrespective of how much the style actually suits them? Do you realise how stupid that sounds? Ive already explained the "English name" example. If youve travelled to Nigeria before then why do you maintain the argument that a black person cant have narrow features? Is that how everybody you saw in the places you went to looked? You sound like one of those crazy 3rd generation immigrant Femteps that has never actually set foot in an African country but has somehow imbibed every single thing there is to know about black people smh There are over 200 ethnic groups here yet they all must fit your warped view so that your misguided crusade will be justified. 4 Likes |

1Sharon:No ma'am. YOU are the liar, here. You are trying to use your own standard, to judge everyone else's response. Have you lived in different parts of Western Europe? So why do you keep generalising?? eyinjuege:Don't mind her, jaré. Look at the way she is arguing about the hairstyles of white women, as if she has conducted a survey on every community in Western Europe and America, in order to reach her conclusion.... 5 Likes 1 Share |

midnighter: Okay, all those black British people and their African-American counterparts with British names, are....what? I don't even understand her argument regarding that bit. Should they now change their names, or deny their heritage? Do their English names, make them less Black or less African-American or....what? As for thin lips and noses, she should visit Eritrea, Ethiopia and North Sudan, as well as Northern Chad. She will see many people with such features. I have even met Kanuris with such features, too. 2 Likes 1 Share |

midnighter: That's your business if your afro is blown out. Why did you feel the need to say that? Why haven't you answered me? Wouldn't it actually be racist if I said blk women look better in weaves? Cos girls in weaves are a poor imitation and don't suit us. Black women are fooling nobody. If its afro textured hair, it suits us better. THIN lips and STRAIGHT noses are not features of black people. And you however sound like those black ppl that want to incorporate every dark-skinned non- black person in your group so you can steal their features and claim their history cos you are ashamed of black ppl just as they are. Some of you go as far as claiming arabs and indians. I know your kind |
