Very strong one grin So if anyone says "The US economy is great" Does that translate to the individual worshipping Trump? See how nonsensical that sounds? Liberals are just nuts in their thinking...nothing ever makes dem happy.
The US economy had always been great, in fact the US economy has been the world greatest economy for the past 150 years.

I know Trump gives you your daily bread. Trump makes the moon and sun shine. Trump gives you anything you pray of him. Afterall, you guys compare Trump to Jesus.

That the US economy has always been the great is not true.
Well i want to say is from a political point of view ( when u consider most politicians don't usually fulfill their manifestos they roll out during campaign) Trump has practically done almost all he promised to do.
in my view the only thing the common man can gain from any government is an improved and vibrant economy; and to me this is objective enough

Nearly all politicians are going to:
abuse and or take advantage of power attached to their office,
appoint close friends and political/party associates in their cabinet.
leverage on their resources of their offices to get wealthy
put their family in advantage position for years to come.
Pelosi is doing same, Joe Biden did the same, Clinton did the same( the respect Bill Clinton because of the economy and i don't respect G . Bush because of the economy), and Trump is doing the same.

Therefore the only yardstick i use to measure a good government is the economy.
that is why till tomorrow, I will always respect OBJ as far as Nigeria presidents are concerned.
he was better than all the rest as far as the economy is concerned. Did he steal money ?Yes. but Sir, that is irrelevant as far as the common man is concerned.

I had a slight exaggeration; the US has been the greatest economy for 100 years and not 150 as previously stated. The US became the world's dominant economy after WW1 - https://eh.net/encyclopedia/the-u-s-economy-in-the-1920s/

There is usually a huge difference between campaign promise and actually bring those promises to fruition. During campaign politicians tell people what they want to hear ie, I will build roads, I will build walls, I will give free medicals, they are usually thin on the hows. When they get to office, they soon realize that most of those promises are unrealistic or even undesirable. It would have even been easier in a dictatorship, but in a democracy, a president cannot take decisions (especially spend money) unilaterally.

The US economy had been vibrant since the 2008 economic crisis. In fact Obamas economic performance is more than Trump's in relative terms.

If you like we can compare economic indices between Obama years and Trump years and see which tops.

Yes agreed politicians abuse their powers to certain extent, but it should be within limits. It is wrong to give your daughter and daughter in law senior political positions ,having zero experience in government or politics. It's like Buhari appointing Zahra and her husband into senior position in Aso Rock. I am sure most Nigerians would kick against it.

If all politicians do it, then why are Trump and his supporters behaving as if Hunter Biden being a board member of a private company halal or harakiri. I am yet to understand the actual crime Hunter Biden is accused of.

I agree with lots of things you said.
See, I don't like Trumps manner of approach, his choice use of words , some of his his remarks about women but sir, i like his ability to see a tough goals and set out to achieve it. it takes someone who has trained his mind to do something like that especially in handling Iran, China and North Korea and to a lesser extent Russia and the Middle East within the same breath

There is a saying that it is easy to get to the top but very difficult to maintain being at the top.
America has a lot of debt because of unbalanced Trade deal with lots of it coming from China and to a lesser extent Europe, with China leveraging its technological prowness aided with low pricing or cost.

I do not see any other US (politician among those available) president willing to take "a bath " China in getting a fair deal. Sir, i give it to Trump.
Obama literally evaded trying to have a take on with China.
I never had any problem with Obama except in 2 areas which are not main stream.
The issue of trying to force same sex marriage is various countries including Nigeria using US aid as a leverage and giving Iran $150 M cash for concession of the nuclear program disarmament. That was not a sign of strength and his his negotiating ability was kinda low considering the high esteem Obama was held in.( Same sex marriage in US is what Obama should have concentrated on and leave other countries out of that equation.)
So i give it to Trump,

Therefore trying to bring him down because of his manner of approach, choice of words, remarks on women and even family life( how on earth he married and divorced 3 women is not something I kike for a presidential figure) is what the democrats are doing.

As regards to OBJ, I know about the money spent on power and I still respect him with that especially because he is also a non-tribalistic person.
OBJ had his fault but he had the best cabinet team members and they all worked together.
he doesn't also assuage for sychphants or praise singers. I never liked him for his 3rd term bid and some other vices but the economy was sound.

You guys don't know Trump, I am sure 90% of his supporters only started knowing him the last few years before he declared for presidency. I have known him since the early 90's. I have a very close friend who loved Trump then and gave me his book to read. I even then disagreed with his philosophy of life as espoused by his book.

Trump's does not have any stance or position on any issue. He only says what people want to hear. He started out a democrat, then moved between independent and Republican, before settling for Republican. So you see his political views was very fluid. Trump was first strongly pro choice, then he switch to strongly pro life for the presidential campaign - https://www.google.com/amp/s/qz.com/1623437/trump-shifted-from-pro-choice-to-pro-life-as-he-planned-a-presidential-run/amp/

I really admire Trump, he is master of creating a persona that larger than life. I honestly have not seen other politician who commands so much control and adoration, and commands so much reverence by even his political party. He truly believes that if he committed murder in full glare of everyone, his supporters would still back him.

He is able to get everyone, including Forbes to believe he is a billionaire without any proof. He was able to have multiple extramarital affairs without any backlash. His Trump brand is just a brand, he sells the name "Trump hotel", it's difficult to know the real owners of his hotels and apartments.

Trump's foreign policy is a disaster. Not that Obama's was much better, but Trump made things far worse.
Not that he does not have valid points in his various foreign policy views, but the way he is going about them have made worse an already bad situation.
Yes China has been cheating the world on trade and intellectual theft, but the way to go about it is not to go it alone. He should have built a coalition with EU, Canada and some other allies to squeeze China. The US can't do it alone. The trade war had been going on for a year now, and China has not bulged. In fact Trump is in a weaker position now and need to give concessions to China, because of the upcoming elections. Trump main selling point is the strong economy, the trade war is hiting both economies.

You guys do not understand the whole Iran deal. The deal was not done only with Obama's administration, but with other powers including Russia and China. Iran could not renege and the UN inspectors all confirm Iran was complying 100%. The 150 billion Obama paid Iran was not US money. It was Irans money seized after the 1979 revolution. Iran asked for it, and Obama gave it back. The deal was strictly to stop Iran developing nuclear weapons and it was effective. Trump would jump at the same deal if north Korea accept it.

Now north Korea has gone worse, they are still continuing to fire rockets and are preparing for a nuclear test.

budaatum:

The Presidency in USA has no right to go rogue. He's being impeached for the exact reason that he did go rogue.
I agree, the moniker I was responding to obviously believes the President has the absolute right to not cooperate with any investigations concerning him believing that when aligned against the powers of the presidency, any justice department or congressional investigator should miraculously acquire any needed evidence in possession of the white house without the cooperation of the white house even against the powers of a subpoena

The President of Nigeria has however not gone rogue, as far as I can tell,

Seriously? undecided how obvious do you need it to be before you agree? Did the FG's directive that sowore and dasuki be released(which obviously will be obeyed this time) after the continual disobedience of long standing court orders to the same effect by organs of the presidency by extension the FG not tell you anything?

and if he does, we should expect the House of Reps to impeach him (if he did not have a majority in it like Trump hasn't), and be found guilty by the Senate which is the court if he did not have a majority there which our President and that of America both have and enjoy.

Remember what I said about ideal scenarios? Well Nigerian politics and political/government set up is anything but ideal, for that we need institutions to function at or in their pristine theoretical forms! The current Nigerian judiciary and legislatures are merely executive appendages so how do you intend to hold such an executive to account?

I don't know what you mean by "not an ideal case" though. Don't know what should be ideal about it since impeachments are rather rare and no two have been the same, and they are not subject to criminal proceedings in a court of law. Did you hear them arguing whether witnesses could be called or not?
Ideal not in terms of the impeachment itself but in terms of trump and the white house not having the option of not cooperating with the congressional investigation or FBI investigation in a misinterpreted/misguided interpretation of presidential prerogatives and powers because of the precedence it sets

It's an impeachment. Members of your party who's election you might have campaigned for and donated money to are on the jury. The equivalent is a criminal case where the accused gets to chose who tries him which is definitely not ideal. But the President is not a criminal, yet, nor is he being tried in a court of law.
you and I are actually on same side of the argument on this wink

What do Trump worshippers think of his comment on windmills?

Trump: "I never understood wind, I know windmills very much, I've studied them more than anybody...tremendous fumes, gases are spewing into the atmosphere, you know we have a world, the world is tiny compared to the universe.."
I want to hear how they would spin this or simply ignore it, as if it never happened.

Just take any of the allegations and research it. Avoid mainstream media links and use websites with good reputation. Google is a good place to start despite their censorship on conservatives like how they quickly removed 'Cofefe' from the search engine after Trump tweeted it, you can still get information on just about anything if you look well enough. The first 20 links Google will give you is always Democrats, after that you will find some links with the true stories.

Btw, I've added 3 other crimes Obama committed. A whole book is not enough to hold his scandals. His middle name should be scandal.

1. Weaponizing the IRS to target opposition
2. Fast&Furious, he gave weapons to Mexican cartels and one of them was used to kill a US border patrol agent.
3. He funded MS-13 gang and used them as assassins.

If Barack Obama doesn't go to prison, America will have to apologize to the world for ever interfering in any injustice in the world because Obama has done worse than every bad leader in the world, it's just that they own the media and won't talk about it.
PDPGuy:

What is your source, or what are your sources for these weighty allegations??
