Luthben:his time has come and gone. In this time of Osimhen and Cyriel Dessers, Ighalo can take solace in the knowledge that he left the team in capable hands. He retired at the right time, when the ovation was loudest |

safarigirl: Oshimen also messed up monumentally in his first season in the topflight for Wolfsburg, blame it on injury or whatever but it doesn't change anything, he got the minutes and he didn't justify it. Y'all should be honest, please. |

ChrisKels: By the way how is Swansea equivalent to Lille? Don't be silly man, Lille finished second last season. For your viewing pleasure as well as for all those who think Lille's squad strength has reduced from last year, here is a link to their squads for this season and last season. In fact, personally I think they have gotten better, Ikone was not half this good last season. https://www.worldfootball.net/teams/lille-osc/2019/2/ |

Mickael2: Bollocks! First of all, Osimhen was 18 then... Where was Tammy at 18? Also, are these the minutes you refer to? Michael, your words are not surprising at all. 5 Likes

TheSuperNerd: So after looking at those stats you think he didn't get enough minutes to impress? Come on!!! He had 90mins in two games out of three!!! And he didn't perform and went back to the bench, but still he got 10mins after that before he got injured. And even after he came back from injury, he got 10mins and then 45mins, if that is not enough time to impress then Ansu Fati really wouldn't be where he is today. |

Iheanacho also impressed in even much shorter time yet you never rated him. Who are you trying to deceive? Facts remain Osimhen had injury issues as you can see from those pic shots. He barely got minutes and barely stayed healthy enough to even have a good run of games. You make it sound like he was given chances upon chances and he didn't take it. Meanwhile Tammy at 18 was were? Remind me again. Mickael2: 4 Likes 1 Share |

Mickael2:so, now we compare Barcelona's team to whichever players are in Wolfsburg? What has Wolfsburg done since Osimhen left? Anyway, the context was a 20-year old Tammy vs. A Twenty-year old Tammy, but you keep comparing an older Tammy to a younger Osimhen, leading us to believe that you are also convinced that Osimhen is better than Tammy after all. 2 Likes |

Let me make it even much clearer with your points in a simple nutshell. Tammy at 20 flopped in the EPL with Swansea. Osimhen at 20 already taking Ligue 1 by storm. That is the story. safarigirl: 5 Likes |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Mickael2(m): 6:17pm On Dec 25, 2019 |
safarigirl: Oshimen is factually 21. Now you don't say 2019 season, you say 2019/2020 season, so when you want to compare player, you use same guideline. Effectively what we are comparing is Oshimen's 20/21 season with Tammy's 20/21 season. Tammy is just a year older than Oshimen and not 2, take that correction first. Then compare appropriately And 1 Like |

TheSuperNerd: People have problems adapting to tactics, others have issues adapting to the physical nature, at the end all of them are under the same category, adaptation. In Oshimen's first season in a top 5 league, he was unable to adapt and did not perform. The same happened in Tammy's first season. They are both in their second top flight seasons and Tammy has been better. EoD really |

xwolverine: Losing three starters (and not four, Rafael was not a starter but OK and Ghazi was on loan at Aston Villa) does not automatically make a team weaker. Let us look at the replacements. Weah Renato Sanchez and Yacizi. These are better players and even cost more and are performing better. |

a pacy player may not show it every time depending on how the team is set up to attack. But you can make such conclusion if you have seen the player use his pace in one occasion or two. Do you need a clip to prove that? CASTAGNE: |

Mickael2: No EOD.... At age 18, Osimhen visited the doctor more times than he had the chances to play. Facts. At age 18, Tammy was still playing PL 2 football and made only 2 EPL apps. At age 20, Tammy flopped in the top flight. At age 20, Osimhen is bossing France. This season so far, they have similar stats as Starting No.9s for their clubsides. So how has Tammy been better? In terms of all round plays, Osimhen has been better. Even with a height of 1.85m, he wins more aerial duels at the rate of 4.4 per game compared to a taller Tammy (standing at 1.90m/1.91m) who does his at the rate of 3.4 per game. In the Big games, Tammy has gone missing but Osimhen has shone in such games this season. Those up there are the real EOD. 10 Likes 3 Shares

Mickael2:what is 'factually'? Tammy is more than a year older than Osimhen, that is why he is 22 now, and Osimhen is STILL 20. A year, two years, still older. Doesn't negate the fact that what Osimhen is doing at 20, Tammy was not doing EOD 2 Likes |

Enjoying this debate. I think Tammy currently has a higher profile in world football than Osimhen, by it doesn't need me or anyone else to highlight how much Osimhen's profile is growing exponentially almost every weekend. I think the most significant fact you can pass judgement in without stirring the nest is that both players are equally indispensable to their teams with both thier teams battling for a champions League spot and not the title. So today in order to separate them it will have to come down to nit picking (bias for or against) or simply personal preference for whatever reason. |
