Who understands the law of surprise ?

The law of surprise states that if he man saves the life of another, the saved will gift that which he has but he doesn't know he has yet.

The law can be invoked for crops, clothes or child. I think 'law of surprising' child is the highest of all.

For example, bringing it to our time, supposing we are bound by the law of surprise and someone gifts you a car(not that you were expecting it), I can come and 'law of surprise' the car away from you.

Same for a child, you didn't know your wife was pregnant before we made the agreement, I can law the child away.

What I don't now know is whether to marry or to raise the child.

I still have 2 episodes to go.

Anyone with a better understanding can quote this, this is what I understand In My Opinion

When will season 2 be released

laydoh:
Tbh, it got to a point where I was wondering if I was watching another flashback.
Pls do you know when the second season will be released.

.... It was renewed for a second season in November and is scheduled for release in 2021. The time of release will depend on when production starts. If it starts around February next year, it will get a mid - year release but if not, then it will be closer to the end of the year 2021.

Who understands the law of surprise ?

... Spoilers alert

.... It is first of all a promise. It is also a debt that must be paid and it cannot be bought. There is always a repercussion if the law isn't obeyed and regardless of the interference of man, it will surely happen as it is termed destiny.

...It is usually invoked when a certain death was prevented although it can stem from other reasons but the instances where it was mentioned in the series had to with saving a life and two of the three instances involved the Witcher. He playfully invoked it the first time and instantly regretted it. I guess that's why he didn't use it the second time when he saved that merchant from the dead.

... It is one of many choices in the hands of a man that has saved a life or something of value and it means that if the person's life that was saved goes home and meets a surprise or something he wasn't aware of before his life was saved (which is usually good news). Whatever it might be (lands, titles, money or a life which is the news of pregnancy) it becomes the debt that he owns the person who saves his life. The two instances in the series was pregnancy. Both men whose lives were saved had the surprise of pregnancy.

... The first man waited until his promise (Ciri's mother) had grown up before taking what was his. I don't think the Witcher will go that route though, he will just adopt the child since he is sterile and he really likes the sorceress.

But why was the Legend of the Seeker put to an end abruptly? I read online that it's viewership was not hitting the expected numbers so they decided to end it.

Maybe it came way ahead of its time.

I wish there can be a re-make or something, that series is a show of pure ingenuity, everything was on point especially those proverbs.

Lost is another series I fell in love with, still don't know how it ended.

See eh! The last decade made exceptional series, anything from 2015 upwards, don't get your expectations too high.

I've watched a lot of sword fight scenes of Movies and TV shows alike, and one thing that sets them apart from other genre is the consistent blood and gore excitement. At least, that's the general idea until The Legend Of The Seeke came into the picture. I've never seen a dryer sword fights in my life. No blood ever flowed, Choreography sucked, and to make matters worse, the Protogonist was a weakling that cannot do without the Confessor: a woman.

When the TV series got scraped at the end of the 2nd season due to poor ratings, I was one of the folks that heaved a sigh of relief. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

bro cos u didn't like it doesn't mean it was dry the show was very successful and never did suffer from low viewers. it got scrapped due to financial reasons. the station in charge of the seeker were in debt so they had to scrap some expensive tv show they aired, legend of the seeker was one of the expensive then and got scrapped. even after it was scrapped fans of the show clamoured for it on social media it was finally bought by Syfy bought due to poor scheduling it was finnay scrapped

Witcher has 3 timelines . Reminds me of watchmen where each ozymandias scene occurs 1 year after the previous. That's why he gets to celebrate his birthday apparently very often

I understand, perhaps, the producers wanted it that way. Nevertheless, it was a great show, fantastic storyline, couldn't see where they lost it, everything were on point till the final episode.

I have seen wack shows go beyond Season 2 and Legend of the Seeker ain't one.

bros, legend of the seeker wasn't particularly expensive.

every episode cost $1.5m to make. that's very cheap bro

the show was cancelled because TRIBUNE(the network airing it) decided that it was done buying the series due to bankruptcy and low viewing/low ratings.

ABC studios(the makers of the series) decided to shop it around after that, but syfy and others also ultimately passed on it.

then ABC announced that the series was done.

the end.

he drew inspiration from the game, yes. he even got the voice right.

but that's where the game connection ended. the game geralt has a scar, cat eyes and beard amongst other things

in the show, he's still young compared to the game where he's aged.

the game and the books are different, I've read the eight books and in all the books, geralt hates beards, even if a stubble appears on his chin, he shaves it off immediately and he has no scar on his face although he has scars on his body which is normal for a monster hunter, I've never played the games but I make it my bizness to know everything about d witcher world cos I really love it, I have friends who love d game and shii but d game and books are different.

The towns and cities are the same, even the monsters are d same in the books too but in the games, there are witch hunters which do not exist in the books, TBH I had low expectations for the show cos we all wanted Zach McGowan to play geralt but seeing Henry cavill play it really blew my mind, and for those who do not understand the series, yennefer storyline deals with the past, no sometimes the present, geralt story is in the present while ciri story is in the future, the showrunners are trying to merge the stories so it'll all make sense in the end

Hey guys, I've just watched the first episode of Vis a Vis and I can say I'm impressed and I anticipate watching the other episodes. I kinda like the direct storyline of Spanish series and the unfolding series of events it brings like that of Money Heist too.
Due to the fact that I am a data budget user, I can't just afford watching from Netflix or downloading huge quality with over 400mb for just an episode, I had to settle searching google all through for a manageable download link for the series which I got like 94mb for an episode which I'm satisfied with.
I'm glad that I found it and I anticipate more of its download.

I just watched the Watchmen tv show and I must say the story and the characters in it are uninteresting. The Watchmen tale was always meant to be a one-off and expanding on it especially without jaded characters like The Comedian and Rorschach was always going to be difficult

This post might contain spoilers so please be warned.

The Witcher basically used three different timelines to introduce the major characters. Yennifer had her timeline( the oldest timeline), the Witcher had his timeline ( the middle timeline) and cirilla had her timeline ( the newest timeline). Along the line the timelines start to merge until it completely merges at the end. Some other characters exist in all 3 timelines but at different ages( like calanthe the queen of cintra)

Hopefully the above makes it less confusing for people to watch.
no wonder!!

Succession is pretty good. Very underrated.

My best character is Kendall, mostly because he's the only non-sociopath in the whole Roy clan.

Greg the egg is also my favorite. He gives off the impression of being dumb, but in actuality is quietly cunning.
