Olominira: I am 12years old. That being said, I am certain that u are an adult. As an adult, I have put forward a few questions to u twice now, but u couldn't answer d questions. D questions of a 12year old. Let me repeat them for u again, making it d third time.: What has been d youth population of Nigeria since 1960 compared to Japan, Germany & Norway that u are mentioning? Y is nigeria still not better than them? What has been Nigerias debt since 1960 compared to Japan, Norway and Germany? Y is Nigeria not yet better? Since 1960, Nigeria has always done better than Japan, Norway and Germany in terms of debt, natural resources and youth population. Y is Nigeria not more developed than them? 1 Like |

Rossikk:What u refered to as "Development" is not it in the real sense. Real Development starts from our "world view". Civilization begins from mindset. Any country not built on social justice, equity and respect for the rule of law is not developing no matter the number of skyscrapers or industry. Strong institutions are better than industrialization under a failed state. Because, issues or conflict could arise and level the whole infrastructure. Exactly the case of Libya, Iraq that were previously doing well, with no strong institutions. Today, these countries are in retrogression despite their initial giant strides. |

It is these types of argument that make many people sour on foreign investments. Total dependency on foreign investments or investors is a mirage. Only Europe has benefited from such Marshall Plan. But note that Americans saw themselves as an extension of Europe. The Japanese adapted American technology the same way American stole European technology. Japanese worked on it and perfected their technology to be innovative. The Chinese became member of World Trade Organization to spite Russia. The rest is history. The Russians can afford to build nuclear and Space technology cheaper than Americans because they localized the technology. Compare all these to Africans that never adapt, train locally and buy technology at international retail prices. BTW padded with more going back to foreigners. Can't you guys see that this is why Africans are getting poorer and poverty map has shifted from Asia to Africa? Look, if we were crawling without and out of reach or outrageous price of international technology, we would have been better off. America itself became rich out of free labor and they have not stopped. Indeed, China, Russia apart from Europe have joined the scrabbling for Africa. They have traitors from within preaching that Africa can only develop by selling both human and natural resources out, through Devaluations. You guys were the ones preaching the benefits of liberal market and Devaluations to us. Now you are selling prospects that had never been achieved and will not be achieved in your lifetime. STOP and develop from within for a change. If you cannot invent, steal like America from Europe, steal like Japan and China from America. Buy one plane or tractor, dismantle them and build your own. |

Thank God, I have finally seen a brain nay I mean someone who understands what development is. your last sentence summarizes what development is even a 5 year old boy will understand. and someone a whole adult mentioned on this thread that our backwardness is due to the West. I just laugh, pls does Chinese or Japanese have 2 or 3 head per person. this thing this people are doing here is not development. this is simply business. the ajaokuta steel has rotten for how many years but you know what. it's because the Russian are the ones that developed that technology of steel, they can fix it anytime. pls kindly tell.me what we are producing in Nigeria? my answer nothing. why because we haven't developed any real sector to the point that when we look 10 year back we see that we have brought new workable idea into a sector by ourselves and can sell it to other countries putting premium on the added value from such development. see if these people whether indians or whoever tomorrow decide to stop production for whatever reason can we take that company to greater heights that in 10 years time the technology they are using today will be termed outdated? my answer is no. so what exactly are we developing. googi: |

Wao! this is huge and a big step to industrialization that Ajaokuta never brought as most companies depend on steel for one project or the other. God please help us see this through. Best Xmas gift. God bless Nigeria. |
