What actually did puchercos do for WAPCO?
What was WAPCO price when he took over What is the price now
How profitable was WAPCO then and what is the situation now

This got me thinking too. But the writing on the wall indicates that puchercos has been a major part in the erasing of negative sentiments on Wapco. Secondly, if he was not valuable, he would not have been poached. Maybe I'll just leave the ripples and follow the stone thrown in the river.

That was why I said things are not well with the former CEO and the parent company.

If the former CEO left voluntarily, he can't pick up an appointment with a rival company.

In the telecommunication sector if a management staff resigns he can't pick up an appointment in a similar company in the country until a period of 5 years...

In most cases whenever they resign, the cross over to the banking, manufacturing, oil and gas etc.

The former company secretary of Lafarge resigned about 2 years ago to become the company secretary of a bank

Well it depends. SLS was ED in UBA before joining FBN in a similar role en route to becoming MD. Same can be said of Marissa Mayer who was a top ranking executive with Google before joining Yahoo as CEO.

In recent times in sports, Arteta who was Pep's assistant joined another top footballing team as head coach. Except where there's a clause in their employment contract that the person cannot work for another company in the same industry. Chelsea did this with Antonio Conte.

You can restrict it to a sector, most especially if the staff is in possession of trade secrets which can be used by the rival company.

Banks don't restrict, but telecommunication and some sectors who thrive on research, technology do.

When Makoju left Lafarge he worked as the CEO of PHCN for about 5, also worked as the special adviser on Energy to the President for 8 years, before he joined the Dangote group

Chief,

Do your research on what you think the telco's do. For instance, former COO of Glo moved from Airtel to GLO.

Did he join immediately or their was a gap of some years. Are you sure he was not sacked or asked to leave by Glo? If he was sacked or asked to leave you can join a rival company.

That is why I believe the former CEO of Lafarge was asked to leave.

When Segun Akanmu voluntarily left MTN, he crossed over to FCMB.

Maybe be they have relaxed on the restriction clause
