Joebie:I think the reason is because Onuachu has been consistent with his club performance enough, hence the continued invitation. So, I bet you if Sadiq equally continues in the form he is in the year 2020, he would get an invite from Rohr since Onuachu hasn't cut it already going by the opportunity given him already |

oga that is not suppose to be the duty of a national team coach. his main concern is tinkering the senior team and taking them to a better height. we are not in the 80's or early 90's when we lacked talents playing in top leagues in europe. it is the duty of the nff and LMC to have a good developmental structure aimed at nurturing talents, coaches and development of the league. even a country like morocco that boast of one of the best leagues in africa rely mainly on their exports in top european leagues. Eseose9:Is it possible that era has passed because no one is doing anything remotely close to what Westerhoff did? In 1988 Manfred Hoener the GE coach used more foreign based players than Westerhoff did in Algiers 90 when the likes of Ukechukwu, Amokachi, elahor, kpakpor, Ben iroha were discovered by Westerhoff. |

Kbs468: That is where he got Finidi George, Tijani Babanginda, Daniel Amokachi, Moses Kpako, Garba Lawal, Abdul Amino This was in the article I posted. I also highlighted that Westerhof played a part in the U17 team that won in Japan 93. Kanu, Oruma and Karibe Ojigwe were part of the team. Bonfrere Jo was part of Westerhof's team and played his part. |

TheGoodJoe:But all you have been mentioning are foreign based. We want you to mention and pinpoint myriads of local players that you want Rohr to unearth via Super Eagles invitation since you want him stay put in Nigeria as if Bonfre Jo, Bora Milutinovic, Philippe Troussier, Thijs Libregts, Berti Vogts and Las Lagerback did flourished in the regard you are staking and promoting courtesy of the clauses in the New contract in waiting |

this your reasoning na old model man reasoning so you are expecting the national team coach to move to all corners of nigeria to scout starlets when nigeria is already blessed with thousands of players in europe begging for a chance in the team? ogbeni that is the job of the coaches of the national youth team. you are off it. no senior national team coach will have the luxury of talented young stars both capped and uncapped to scout for raw talents in ijebu ode, ugheli, dankingari and other places. such will happen if the country lacks genuine talents. AndSunGorilla: 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe:Thegoodjoe I got your point wella and i want to say nothing wrong if Rohr can devote little time to watch Nigeria league. Truly Westerhoff era cannot be compared to this era but one thing is glaring Rohr need to look inwards and see what is really going on.Nobody is forcing any player on Rohr or trying to create quota for home based team. It's simple Ezenwa was Rohr best home based player but the same Ezenwa has been finding it hard to be number one in various club he has been keeping for in the same NPFL. The question is who are the keepers displacing Ezenwa in Nigeria league and funny enough we have issue in that department, meaning Rohr has not done enough when it comes to monitoring of Nigeria league. Oh I see someone cited Akpoborie's comment regards NPFL.I want to tell anyone who care to listen that Akpoborie does not believe in anything related to Football in Nigeria so i don't take his words serious, not an authority when it comes to rooted local football discussion. I think Clemens Westerhoff got it right from onset and kick start with local boys cos he resided in Nigeria and was able to discovered a lot of players.Mind you we have enough professional players as at that time, players like Stephen Keshi,Chidi Nwanu, Samson Siasia,Austin Eguavoen, Andrew Uwe, Ademola Adeshina,Peter Rufai,Wilfred Agbonavbare, Dominic Iorfa,Dahiru Sadi,Andrew Uwe,Chris Ohenhen,Mutiu Adepoju,Mike Obiku,Uche Okafor,Efan Ekoku,Rasheed Yekini,Richard Owubokiri,Emma Okocha,Mike Emanelo, Jonathan Akpoborie etc but this did not disturb Westerhoff from looking inwards for good players. But can Rohr achieve this feat?NO cos we have enough players to pick from outside especially FBs.I think NPFL deserve Rohr attention matter what, may be the league can be rescued. There is no way he will not see one or two players that can complement his team or just give them necessary exposure.I remember how Thijs Libreght discovered Sunday Johnson and Oluwole Johnson from NPFL and if not for his early exit those guys would have made it. I remember Sunday Johnson made Sydney 2000 as only outfield home based player, the guy was a combination of Finidi George and Tijani Babaginda. I know some don't want to hear Keshi's name but he did it with Oboboana,Mba though career wise they are stagnant but he won Afcon with those guys. Time for Rohr to give us great eagles cos he have enough talents to do it for now with player like Osimhen,Chuckwueze,Aribo etc and watching NPFL would raise the status of Nigeria league a little bit. 3 Likes 1 Share |

I be Chelsea fan teytey and always happy seeing the two guys in Chelsea colour but guess what, club football is about performance,so Tammy and Tomori must sit up especially in club like Chelsea. Tammy and Tomori believe that England is the best for them, let them enjoy it. My wish for Osimhen and other eagles player is successful football career. 6 Likes |

do you have an idea of how many young talented uncapped players we have in europe who are working hard to get a call up? so rohr should ignore them and focus on raw unproven talents in suburbs and villages in nigeria? oga the u17 and u20 coaches should do that. days are gone when such methods worked and we all know how it panned out the last time. you made mention of oboabona, mba and others keshi gave a chance in the team from the local scene, those players claimed to be in their early and mid 20's as of then but where are they now? when last did you as a soccer loving nigerian make out time to watch any match in the npfl? and if you do can you mention at least 3 players who deserve a chance in the current super eagles team? for your information the best talents football wise in the local scene are in academies, amateur and nationwide clubs which is the main reason scouts from europe focus on players from this clubs and leagues instead of recycled dead woods in the npfl do you have an idea of how many academy and amateur club players that leaves the shores of Nigeria yearly? can the number be compared to that from our npfl clubs? why is it that our youth team players from the national team are in high demands unlike those in the npfl? TheGoodJoe:Even the Zidane you mentioned have scouts and coaches in the academy that helps discover potential Real Madrid players And that's exactly what other age grade coaches are supposed to be doing for Rohr where they have all failed woefully in Or why was Imama drafted from the super eagles to the U23 Eagles and the attendant Olympic failure? 4 Likes 2 Shares |

it's not simple because indirectly you are of the opinion that rohr should reside in nigeria and comb the whole of ijebu ode and ahiazu inorder to unearth the next messi and cr7. in this era if you are not doing it in europe as a player you are not good enough. countries like Brazil and Argentina boast of the best clubs and leagues in the american continent but how many of the players from their local scene makes their national team? imagine a country that is blessed with uncapped talents and those who are even yet to cement their places in the national team but notwithstanding are doing well in europe such as dessers sadiq okereke iorfa jnr ejuke okoroji dennis maja adarabioyo jnr pius onyekuru ozonwafor ejaria eze onomah uduokhai ehizibue odey just to mention those i can remember now. this players are working hard and doing well in their various European clubs just to attract the attention of rohr and his crew but they should ignored rather infuse unproven players unearthed from the villages in nigeria. we are or worst enemies for sure Kog45: |

charlesemeka85: Timo werner is good bro and better than so many strikers in the epl so its no big deal chelsea wanna get him, i think timo werner is the best young striker out there after mbappe, thou mbappe play as a winger most times Only few epl strikers are better than werner, Tammy is no match at all so i wont be suprised if Chelsea want him |

the u20 and u23 teams which are suppose to serve as the nursery to the super eagles team were compromised but everyone turned a blind eye to it rather ranting and screaming that rohr should take the useless contract offered to him or he should leave. the same abundant talents scattered all over nigeria were ignored when amakabo and the u20 coach assembled teams that are rated as the worst the country have come up with in this decade. nonsense!
