Ok tell us about Isaac Adaka Boro.

Wat happened there initially?

They declared the Niger Delta Republic on February 23, 1966 and fought with federal forces for twelve days before being defeated. Boro and his comrades were jailed for treason.

What is the correlation between this and need to have a pan Igbo independent group pursing for Igbo interests only within Nigeria with long term and final aim of pulling Ndiigbo out of Nigeria?

Why must you incorporate the tower of Babel called Niger Delta into Biafra? Must they be part of Biafra before you work with them on how to leave Nigeria. And by the way, did these people even tell you that they want to leave Nigeria?
Why can't we for once think rationally. Seriously, IPOB get on my nerves. I wouldn't care if not that you bring Ndiigbo shame by your behavior and allow inconsequential groups throw insults at Igbo through your ill thought unity begging.

It's 3 days to end of 2019. You guys must repent and stop this abnormal behaviour already. You are misrepresenting Ndiigbo.

You still don't understand that Kanu does not have our interest at heart. Anyone that uses Biafra as a strategy automatically become an Igbo freedom fighter. What does Nnamdi Kanu's attitude portray to your likes?
Today proudly Nigeria, support GEJ, support the fight against Boko Haram etc. And you wake up tomorrow and then
Tomorrow Biafra, kill Awusa and Yoruba baboon, No Election, No Referendum, Support Trump, Igbos are Jews, Middle belt is Biafra, support Shiites, Support Orji Kalu And you wake up next tomorrow and then.

Next tomorrow, Befriends FFK, Befriends Sowore, and who knows he may even befriend Tinubu he ask you guys to hate.
What does these tell you? It shows you a common trait of a typical politicians. Until we stop allowing charlatans use our sympathy for Biafra hoodwink us, we'll never have an headway politically.

I like Kanu and I have defended him so many times and have been called unprintable names.
I support him a lot on moral grounds because of his ability to speak truth to power.

But my patience is wearing thin. I am loosing patience because his refuses to stop involving south south in this IPOB movement.

I don’t wish him or the movement bad but 2020 is when I will make my final decision if I should withdraw the rest of my support for IPOB.

The idea Igbo can just leave Nigeria is Utopian.

It is either we leave as we came or face another tragic episode involving the SS as we did the SW.

SS cannot go on with one Nigeria once we leave.

This people beat us to the gun and wanted exit from Nigeria whilst we were busy romancing the North.

It is either they get Niger Delta Republic or they provide Nigeria with an avenue to blockade Igbo country.

U know wat the last blockade cost Ndiigbo in Human capital?

So let them work for Niger delta republic, provide logistic support when you can, and stop dragging them into Biafra.

As an Igbo, I want an only Igbo Biafra where Igbo language will be the ligua franca and language of instruction in schools. Where no lazy ethnic group will wake up one-day and start accusing Ndiigbo of domination. Worst still, I don't want another mini Nigeria, a heterogeneous entity full of ethnic groups united by common shared Igbophobia. That's exactly what Biafra with those Myriads of divergent ethnicities in SS will be.

Such country will have no bright future.

So u can blame us further?

Look, it is impossible to please everybody at the sametime.

IPOB is a peaceful non-violent organisation.

We will utilise diplomatic channel to secure a better deal for Biafrans.

Ndigbo have one trait that we must try to curtail. We stick our neck for what we believe in. And when we make up our mind, there is no going back. This is a good attitude, but sometimes it gives chalartans a room to jump into the bandwagon and destroy our collective purpose. Sometimes, we need to sit down and draw parallel.
The quest for Biafra was a noble intention for which our father's lost everything they had in the 1966-70. We rose up in spite of the humiliation and regain more than what we lost. The Biafra of the mind ideals was what rekindled our spirit to be the best in what we do. The independent state of Biafra died in 1970. Igbo leaders began to find their feet politically until the 2nd republic which brought in Obasanjo.
In 1999, some group of people began a push for Biafra restoration. If it was for the fight to end marginalization of Ndigbo in Nigeria, we would have had an headway. Maybe in few years, get the Presidency, join Igbo areas in the SS and merge them in new SE created states. Keep agitating until things are balanced. But it didn't happen that way. Those who sponsored MASSOB and IPOB were not Igbo's. The purpose of founding these groups was to neutralize the strength of Ndigbo politically and push us into the wilderness fighting alone and aimlessly, while other ethnicity keep benefitting from our absence in the political landscape. At the end, we keep losing vital grounds at the expense of others, that was how GEJ became President at our expense. And this is how we would keep losing ground unless we wake up. There is no way Nigeria would be balkanized without other ethnicities agree to go their separate ways. And since other ethnicity enjoy the country the way it is, and won't mind fighting against us a second time. Isn't it time we begin to use our heads?
Biafra is a second option no doubt, but we should allow it happen naturally. We should beware charlatans with selfish motives.

IPOB is not an Igbo organisation, it is a Biafra Organisation.

The Igbos in the SS are part and parcel of that region, u cannot gain them and leave the SS.

I repeat, Part and parcel means they go together.

If u have ever heard the Obi of Onitsha speak, u will know wat i mean.

And IPOB made the Igbo man President of ICC? How shallow. Only IPOB illiterates think we're progressing since their emergence. Where were this same IPOB when Ekwueme was Vice President and was was on the verge of succeeding Shagari before the coup. Was IPOB the group that gave Igbo's 2 top positions in Shagari government, which include the VP, the Speaker in Edwin Umezoke and Joseph Wayas from Ogoja the Senate President.
Did IPOB make Commodore Ukiwe the Vice in IBB's junta.

Was it IPOB that made Abacha give us top civilian and military post in his government one of which was the CBN governor to a Anioma, Finance minister to Idika Kalu and Naval chief to Allison Madueke?

Was it IPOB that gave Ndigbo Senate President and other ministerial positions in Obasanjo's government? Deputy Speaker to Opara of Ikwerre, CBN Governor to Soludo from Anambra.

Was it IPOB that appointed the first Igbo Minister of Defence in Ironsi's son under Yardaua, Chief of Air staff in Paul Dike from Ukwuani, Chief of Naval staff in Dele Ezeoba from Anioma, Inspector General of Police from Enugu, Immigration head in Comptroller Uzoma from Imo, Custom head in Nwadialor even though he spent 6 months and chief of Army staff Ihejirika from Abia? Was it IPOB.

IPOB is not for the progress of Ndigbo. It is a retrogressive front with no headway. It is a curse same as MASSOB to the political survival of Ndigbo. It brainwashes our sensibilities and destroys the fabrics of association and diplomacy that Ndigbo are known for. It is anti-Igbo unity and empowers our opponents against us.

How did those positions contribute to the development of Igboland? Stop sounding like a paid political zombie abeg. The earlier u realise that an Igbo man can't be the President of this worthless country no matter how we try the better for you, and please keep IPOB out of your wahala.

Do u want the same thing that happen during Biafra war to repeat itself?

The middle-belt fought very hard becos they could not see themselves in Nigeria without the Igbos.

So they fought us.

The same was the case for the Yoruba in the SW.

The day we try to leave this country without the SS, will be another lesson for Igbos to learn.

Remember wat happened to Adaka boro, wen he tried to leave and wat Aguiyi Ironsi, Nnamdi Azikiwe and other Nigerians did to them.

Be wise!

Why did they not fight for Biafra?

You see my point.

Those groups down south even hate you more than they hate Northerners. Go look at the presidential elections results in 1979 and 1983.
Those people all voted for Shagari and Awolowo and only less than 1% of votes came from that region for Zik.

This is a region that recently renamed a public edifice after Gowon. To put it in relative terms, it's akin to a group who worships Hitler, yet an Israeli wants to form a country with them.

You think they are daft( which by the way, I totally disagree) while they hate you guts, your culture, your mannerisms, everything about you. Your demon is their hero and your hero is their demon. Have sat down with these people to discuss about their opinions about Ojukwu ?

See I don't know what you guys smoke at IPOB , but I would advise you leave Ndiigbo out of it.

You are true son of your father and of the soil who will never point to the compound of his father with a left hand.

My phone is out of juice, am out for now. Was disappointed that faulks road has gone bad-hope it's failure is corrected and the project(about 3-4 years old) complete at last.Construction work is going on at some roads, I hope to cover more areas in aba especially the ph road axis.
While infrastructure is still very much a problem in aba, investments are coming in very fast in the city. Apart from the market square mall, I noticed 2 new facilities being setup within the city.I also saw construction going on, on another project that might be a supermarket or mall also. I would definitely post pics of some of this projects- both private and government

Emotional?
Been reading your take on this issue, and you seem to be the emotional one here.
You don't lump a group of people who haven't shown commitment with your cause into your struggle.
What is wrong with you guys?
Same way you got shortchanged because you believed that igboid ethnic groups from Rivers State would identify with and support you during the civil war. What happened afterwards?
They denied you, sided with the federal troops to blockade you from the south, and took possession of your grandfather's properties in Port Harcourt.
Yet, you haven't learned any lesson.
Can you cite any documented evidence which shows that the Ibibios or any other non Igbo tribe are eager to become a part of Biafra? Just one.

Didn't know that IPOB was good at negotiating deals grin
Pray tell, what single deal has it successfully negotiated till date?
