May I ask why you didn't go for a reliable family planning method? Could it be Religion? Personal view? Anyways, you and your husband are in the best position to make that decision. Even if we say keep it, no one will help you carry that child (There might be a pause in career, school, professional exams etc). If we say go for D&C or pill method, no one here will help you go through that emotional phase (guilt) of the aftermath. I pray you make the right decision. Don't try that salt water thing. Pity your heart and kidneys UnknownQueen: |

Abiolajustified:Since she takes water well, try substituting night time breastfeed with water gradually. That was how we weaned. Gradually replace all night feeds with water till all she takes at night is water. The day we succeeded with only water all through the night was the day we finally stopped. Daytime was easier cause we could easily distract with other foods. We weaned without stress or tears |

Good day mamas and compliments of the season. Still on this weaning matter biko, I weaned my 15 months old son last week (today makes it exactly a week). One of my breasts was engorged and I had serious pains for like 2 days. The pain has reduced now though but breast is still hard... I am worried because I didn't expect it to take this long before my breasts come back to normal. Is this normal please, or is there anything I need to do that I am not doing? Make the Sabi mamas biko put mouth for the matter |

Good mamas.. Pls can I give my 11months old normal oats... Quaker oats for adults?... I was taking it and she showed interest, so I want to know if it's OK for her system?.. Also for mums who have used chebe powder on their babys hair, was there any side effect like sleeplessness?? Cuz I heard chebe is made with weed too... I applied it on her yesterday and she was just resisting sleep, even after loading her with food... We slept at 12am was so ..i hope it's not the chebe. |

If its possible, revisit the previous doctor that prescribed the drug. If not, make sure the pharmacy is a reliable and trusted one, pharmacists are good also. By the way, was the initially prescribed drug just cough syrup? If it is infection related, I.e pneumonia , antibiotic suspension will be needed Either way. Allansmith: |

Allansmith:You'll waste more money with this pharmacist route. Just go back to the health centre. Sometimes it takes a while for cough to stop even after taking antibiotics 1 Like |

unex50:A baby can eat adult Quaker oats from 6 months or even 5, just use formula and not adult milk until he's a year old. I don't know about Chebe |

unex50: Hi I heard that Chebe causes itchy scalp, maybe that what's bothering her. Just to be on the safe side I think you should postpone using it until she can talk and tell you what's making her uncomfortable. 1 Like |

Abiolajustified: Once you stop breastfeeding, she'll accept more food. Usually I do gradual withdraw but this my latest baby doesn't understand gradual AT ALL so I had to go cold turkey on her. I simply rubbed aloe Vera on my tips and let mother nature do her job. She was even running for the breast Laslas and yes, her appetite has greatly improved although she was a foodie from day 1. |

Allansmith: If you don't mind trying the palmoil and sugar mix. A little palmoil and sugar mixed, not too loose, not too thick. Give her a spoon of it every 2h. Her cough should immediately subside and clear off with 3 days of use. If you don't see a difference within the first hour of using it, then it will most likely not work for your little one. A lot of people including me can testify to this. 3 Likes 2 Shares |
