What is the incentive of investing in naira at 5 % when you can earn 7 % in a foreign currency to mitigate any gra gra from CBN?

The economic indicators don't make sense, it's not clear what emefiele is trying to achieve.

I'm negotiating the price of a property in Ibadan for ten million, rent is 1 mill per annum, that's an roi of ten percent and I don't need to worry about inflation.

I don't think the guy is fear mongering just being realistic

hmm... dont ask the tenants but use someone to act like a prospective tenant. A rent of 1m per annum in Ibadan? Then the cost price is to be negotiated for N10m? a house with a rent of 1m per annum cannot have a market value of N10m. Not like i am trying to say something but look very well.

Funny enough.it is the excess I saved from monthly shopping from my husband.he gives me a lot for shopping and I decided to shop less and save more.
I am a full time housewife.

Wow! Amazing. I wish I could open a thread with this quote. . .

I invested both capital and interest at first, then added my extra savings that's all.
Material things don't move me so I save alot.

tracyorez:

Wowww.i want to save so that if my husband gets into any difficulty in future,I will make sure he doesn't beg or take any loan.
the difference here is that my husband leaves little or no cash flying around for you to even steal. He is always investing and doesn't drink much so I make do with only what he gives me.
He won't easily get broke though as we already have 4 different buildings on rent excluding our residence with several empty lands and petrol tankers.
I will be strongly behind anytime he needs help cos he is a very good man.

Lol, are these statements conflicting? I probably should be minding my business though.

What do you think should be a realistic return on a rental property, sir?

You mean 3% , I thought it was closer to 8% . What would the minimum yearly rate of return be on a rental property?

. Things are generally cheap in Ibadan. Rents also just affordable. Inquiry about rents in dat area will give u clue. Independent investigation important.

To the bold part.

How can I expand into this sector. Need your advice
it capital intensive...a 45000 litres truck cost around 12m but capable of generating 800 k monthly...or 50k daily (apapa to airport )...but u need to have a contract or open hire agreements with a mulitinational like total ,MRS ,conoil ,forte oil citec etc ...but they collect 5 trucks above as minimum or partner with others that have contracts to add yours as a sub contractor

If you look at the it from the lender who has a choice point of view, you can get the general idea of what they aim to achieve. Whether you accept it or not is a different matter entirely.

Exactly, sounds good to be true. In Ibadan of all places for such rent.
Then a 10m with a rent of 1M looks like a very far stretch.

So investors must try to run small enterprise, thier are more oppurnties outside fixed income or treasury bill with silly return .....we must take minimal risk ,thier notting like zero risk it a fallacy cos devalution can strike unannounced.rate can drop ,bid might fail etc
