I also observed that trading is more profitable ....selling cement or fmgc in Nigeria can rake in 80 percent anum...example a truck load of cement is delivered at 2200 per bag sold for 2400 .gross profit of 200 x900 bags (180 k) the capital is 2200x900=2m .....a good location can move 900 bags weekly....

I was told of someone who grew 3M into about 14M in about 3 years in this cement biz. Your analysis here makes it look possible.

One needs to make viable financial plan this yr. This one TB just dey misbehave.

Btw is was asked a while ago the possibility of tapping into the juicy OMO auctions. No response yet.

Is it just for the foreign players or does it entail getting FX?

I am still struggling to understand what they want to achieve by reducing TBills to almost nothing

Obviously they're trying discourage us. As posted in the article by Dipo, even at 4-5% it was still oversubscribed. . . So like others have noted CBN will want to borrow at the lowest possible rate, to our (TB investors) detriment unfortunately.

But what I don't get is how is our neighbor Ghana able to sustain double digit TB rates and we can't. .. bearing in mind they don't have the oil we do.

If TB strikes 3%, guys better invest in Sure odds.

Can real sector investment be forced ?

When you are clamping down on
Yaba traders and car dealers, what type of real investment are they gonna build ?

The body language is investment unfriendly.

Lol! I like your drive oo.

But I think what most of us want is side hustle Basically the one you can invest and go to sleep. That's what made TB so attractive.

By the Grace I have a steady job that pays me well, but I need something else particularly one that will not make my BP exceed the normal range grin

You are so so open. May God bless you and your efforts.

Does this biz get saturated. What is the simplest and easiest entry point if someone wants to learn the ropes.
yes it get saturated like with the closure of broader....consumption has droped example adamawa get 100 trucks daily before now 40 trucks and no scarcity
....meaning less haulage trip ..yanking off 60m daily from the bussiness from adamawa alone
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by ojesymsym: 10:01am On Jan 01, 2020
From a business point of view, that is a reduction. From a government point of view, a good thing.

2019 ...we moved a total of 15million litres of aviation fuel 5 million litres of pms for MRS , Onando, ceta , Nigeria airforce using a fleet of 16 trucks ...recorded 3 accidents in april, august and December with insurance paying 80 percent of the loss (7m ,1.5m,5.2m) we also paid tax of about 1.5m and have a wht of ( 5m )....we currently have a court case court against a bus company that hit our tanker....even with the poor Nigeria economy we grossed 150m in 2019

One of my oga's lost his truck days back at agbor, Plus a hiace bus which was destroyed beyond repairs, not only does he have to bear his loss, he must cough out 800-1m to replace that bus for the owners.

I run a filling station and I could afford a 45k capacity mack head truck(with TB funds)but u see, the risk out weighs the profit becos u make about N3 / trip With the possibility of loosing both truck and product on every trip.

Insurance settlement never ever comes when u need it.

U have 16 trucks and I bet u can manage urself for awhile if u loose 4 in a day but not a newbie. It's almost impossible for someone without a dip pocket to start oil business. Who even assures u of patronage cos when the big players step in everything crumbles. Asaba was hit by Northwest and rain oil 3years back and we have not recovered. Some had to sell their stations cos u can't go from 10k litres a day to 1500 and still be in business.

Bros e no easy.......TB was a subtle landing spot for most of us and now it's gone.

Happy New year bros.

Lol, are these statements conflicting? I probably should be minding my business though.

Nothing is conflicting here. It is obvious "material things" in this context are liabilities like cars, expensive cloth and jewelries etc usually associated with "wife of a rich man". She prefers investment (which also include building of houses) to those things.

We have 3 in Nigeria

UPDC REIT

Skye Shelter Fund

Union Homes REIT.

UPDC REIT is the biggest with real estate portfolio that worth N30 billion and liquid funds invested in Treasury Bills, Commercial papers and bonds that is worth N5 billion.

Skye Shelter Fund is the smallest, the real estate portfolio and liquid assets are worth N2.5 billion.

I don't have the figures for Union Homes REIT.

Am not into trucking from depot....i only have an Ago peddler. I buy from at landing cost .,140/litre after delivery. In fact I pay twice.

From what I get transport from ogharra to asaba is #3. Pef or aquilla is when u cross regional lines. The way I understand it and it's for transporters.
