Xiaomi is one of the top brands nowadays.. 8 pro is a good choice, or you can check YouTube for reviews if in doubt

You may need to take a closer look at your pals
But since you asked here, I strongly recommend that you buy a "Brand New Redmi Note 8 Pro"(84k for 6/64 version or 91k for 6/128) & not a "Used older device" which costs more(iPhone 8 plus price starts @ around N135k & there are even better performing brand new phones at this price)
By the way...
Redmi Note 8 Pro + Gcam is amazing (if you are a photo freak this combo will never disappoint you)...

Lg g8 is around 150-160k and it's not in the same price bracket with the redmi,hence your suggestion wasn't on point.

If you ain't comfortable with the Redmi 8, there other devices you could get for the same price.
