Williams should start as the LB going forward and Ethan Laird should deputize for AWB who remains clueless in attack. Matic tried but he slowed our play allowing Arsenal to regroup. We really missed McTominay tonight.

Lingard should have his contract paper shredded. Rashford for all his goals is a silent problem that is budding, he can't play CF and when closely marked, he doesn't have the skill set to beat his marker. When Martial moved to the left, he began troubling Arsneal's left side forcing Pepe to track back.

James had a bright spark in the opening minutes when Arsenal pushed forward but as soon as Kolasinac decided to be more disciplined in his play, James was useless. For all his endeavor, he is a squad player at best unless we are up against City where Pep foolishly refuses to change his tactics in the face of danger.

Maguire for that amount is a waste. Where is the coordination in that defense? He hangs onto the ball way too long and his long balls are a far cry from what you will expect from him...If only we had Virgil Van Dijk...

De Gea is suspect, Romero should be given more game time. In the summer, if any club table an offer, we should sell him and go after Oblak or trust Henderson.

Fred has come of age, he was the best player for us today followed by Martial. Greenwood for the time he was on did more than Lingard for the past 3 games.

Pereira should have scored if he was a bit more composed...Defeat taste bitter but we live to go it again...

U Wrote this long book of lamentation just to tell us that the Rashford in the pic below is the one that turned up at the Emirates... Mad oh!!

Ole says Pogba has been advised to do a surgery by "his people".
SMH

he better gets into the market for two CM. McTom is out for 3 weeks. we only have Fred as it stands.
I said that's the area of pressing concern.

So the 2months+ he spent on the sidelines wasn't as a result of surgery lol..

Anyway OGS fans will soon come to applaud him for his way of handling things in-house..Its all good though but when the long term consequences of this man's constant lies befall us let no one cry..

An athlete being paid £290k a week is playing ping-pong with the badge he ought to respect, a gk on £350k/wk has been making school boy errors and I'm not even gonna start on the Ajaeokuta snail the club paid £80m for who feels his only job is to pass out from the back..

OGS has just given these guys room for too much sh!t with his constant sugarcoating..

You no lie bro

Van Persie: "They need a gameplan and a bit of fear for the coach. You know if you don't make those runs or make that pass, you will be punished and you won't play the next game. Are the players lacking fear? Probably. By the looks of things, I think so

"When I listen to Ole, he sounds like a really nice guy but I would like to see him with a bit more energy, sometimes angry. It's part of his job sometimes. I see him smiling now after a game like that. This isn't a moment to smile," he told BT Sport.

When some of us pointed it out sometime ago, they said not everybody must be Mourinho as if you must go to the extreme when expressing your dissatisfaction with the quality of personnel available for you to work with. Ole isn't even bold enough to have a go at the players after a poor performance. It irks me when I remember that he played under SAF who's anger when we were playing badly was on full display even on the sidelines. Many a times under SAF, we'd have an average 1st half but you'd be certain that even if we were 2 goals down we were going to do a comeback irrespective of who we were up against.

I repeat, the huge outlay on Maguire looks like a waste to me. We are conceding almost every other game. Liverpool were like us before VVD came in and stabilized their back 4 with his leadership qualities and performance which inspires confidence among his fellow defenders. Maguire on the other hand hasn't done anything of note to justify the price tag, at the moment, I am forced to ask if we'd be doing any worse with a CB partnership of Smalling and Lindelof deputized by Tuanzebe and Rojo?

People are quick to say Ole's signings have been our best players but it's not true. I am not a fan of James, we have seen players like him before, once the opponent realizes that he is only effective when he has space to run and closely marks him, he becomes useless.

AWB for all his defensive solidity was ran ragged yesterday because rather than attempt to beat him to the byline and Cross, Auba almost every time choose to cut infield wherein, AWB couldn't slide or dragged him infield and then release Kolisinac on the overlap. Even when Wan-Bissaka pushed forward in the 2nd half as we began mounting pressure, he looked clueless in attack. Raphael when he was here could beat his man and deliver a great cross but with Wan-Bissaka, it doesn't seem natural.

Maguire is the worst of the lot, he is slow on the ball and without the ball. See how easy it was for Lacazette to turn such a big man. You can't help but compare him to VVD to see just how much we were fleeced by Leicester City who were supposed to be defensively susceptible after losing Maguire but have gone on to be even better. In one move, VVD creates a goal scoring opportunity with long diagonal passes but our own Danny Shittu will hang on the ball as if he has anything up his sleeves only to pass the ball to Shaw when pressed. He is already looking like the worse buy of the season especially if Pepe finds his feet.

Ole has big decisions to make like dropping Shaw and De Gea, demanding more from Rashford away from the goals he has scored wherein, he has been poor in most of the games, challenging AWB to do better up front or risk losing his place in the team to Dalot (I suspect Dalot is not injured), dropping Maguire or taking the captain's armband off him. In all, I don't trust Ole to be bold enough to do any of the aforementioned so we just have to live with mediocrity...
