Hi Nairalanders,

Please grab a bottle of coke and a cup of popcorn as I am about to tell my story.

I took my time to write this just to encourage someone. Always remember that there is a light at the end of every tunnel.

Decision to travel:
I heard about express entry from my sister that stays in Canada early 2017. She went as a student and after a while, she called all her siblings to advise us to relocate. I was like “I am not a fan of obodo oyibo.” She practically begged me to give it a trial but I refused. Fast forward to some months later, I got a new car. A week after I got the car, we all got a mail in my office about a salary increase. The following day, I overheard my boss telling my colleague that “for Jayne to be driving a car like that, she doesn’t need the money I pay her”. Out of curiosity, I decided to check everyone’s salary after the increment (I had access to such information as I was the third in command in the company). Guess what!! 20k - 30k was added to everybody’s salary and just 5k was added to mine. This means that even the receptionist was earning more than me. I got home and cried myself to sleep and dreamt about Canada. I woke up the next day and called my sister.

WES:
My evaluation made immigration look easy. Everything was so smooth that in less than 2 months, I got my BSC and MSc evaluated.

SUMMARY:
ITA: 1st May, 2019

VO: Ottawa

Hmmmmmmmmmm

8th IELTS, hmmmm, God
I don't have any reason to give up this year.

Happy new year all. Just started following this thread and would like to make a few enquiries concerning ECA by wes
1. My husband has a foreign B.Sc and Msc degree... does he have to do waec assessment too or the waec assessment is limited to Nigerian obtained degrees and not someone who is Nigerian
2. I have a B.Sc and M.Sc.. which option is better? To assess my msc degree alone or to do both? And also waec assessment

Thanks in advance

Assess the Msc which the highest degree, no more assessment of WAEC.

Happy New Year guys. Please has any one tried evaluating a degree from ESEP le Berger a University in Benin Republic. I was told WES doesn't give a favourable response. Is there any evaluation body in Canada approved by IRCC like ICES and the likes that evaluates degrees from the above mentioned school?

Good evening hommies...
Happy new year lovelies.
I got my ECA today from ICES.
I'm a BNSC nurse holder with rn and rm
So I gathered information from here that after verification the outcome is usually 2 or more certificate.
After paying 675dollars imagine ...i saw only bsc staring at me. I no fit cry.
Meanwhile my friend verified with Wes and got two or more cert.

Brothers and sisters in the Lord ooo please what should I do now. I sent them series of emails asking why and pleading that my RM and Rn should also be included.

Kindly advice a sister. I don't know what next to do after 22weeks.

I would really like to know more about this place of work, job role and type of people working there. I'm sure you are no longer with them so feel free to spill the beans. Quote me in a dead thread so we don't derail this one.

It's always advisable to use WES for your evaluations.

In scenerio like this just like law degree and law school certificate, i always advice one to use WES(though I am not a wes fan). In your case, I will advice that you kick start with WES immediately while waiting for a response from CES. I doubt if anyone has gotten 2 or more certificate from CES with your credentials. All the best

Hi there! Thanks for your response. I have gone through the immigration link you provided and I see a part that talks about self employed people being able to use contract agreements. She has contract agreements. I also checked Njbybrthnly's post and it was quite useful. My wife doesn't have a CAC certificate however.

And yeah, the 486 is with the PhD in July. I might as well just go ahead and be the PA while we hope for the best. We're also looking at PNP as a second option

Thanks for the help. Well appreciated

Mamaroon:

If by freelance you mean works for herself and is self employed, she can be the PA provided she is able to provide the documents in this link under self employed section.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/express-entry/applications-received-on-after-january-1-2016-completeness-check.html

Also see post by Njbybrthnly where she listed what she provided as a self employed applicant.

https://www.nairaland.com/5031893/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/183#76836965

With her as PA is the 486 with or without July PhD?

Either way, you can both start the ECA and IELTS process in tandem.

Yes. Had the same issue too. My passport had only 4months when i submitted despite the 6months validity required on the submission letter. I went ahead to submit and got my COPR and immigrant visa in 12working days. However, my immigrant visa expires the same day my passport expires. I intend renewing in Canada tho.

Dejavu44:

But the instruction in the ppr email is to submit passports with at least 6months validility.

The link mentions articles of incorporation ( i.e CAC to us in Nigeria) OR other evidence of business ownership...is there anything she can show to prove ownership? Note that affidavits are not permitted.

There might also be a canadavisa thread for the self employed.

As planned, you can get in the pool ahead of July, you never know, a PNP may identify you.

Hello house,

1. I am looking for ways to increase my point for the EE, I went through the link for BCS IT and planning to take that route, but I will like to know someone that took the exam recently to please put me through.

2. Do you advice I start my WES evaluation before getting my additional degree, or do you advice I wait for my additional degree before WES evaluation?

If you know u have very & very strong IT background, u can go for BCS though they disappointed majority in the last September exam including me. If not just try to read wella for CIMA & go for it perhaps it's even faster than fucking BCS. Good luck
