Oga, we have many unemployed Nigerians seeking for jobs here but the foreigners get the jobs at the Embassy.

You shouldn't be making a hasty judgment from just one instance without at least visiting the Nigerian Embassy in Qatar to make such a conclusion.

I want to believe that even in some foreign Embassies in Nigeria there are some Nigerians who work in those Embassies too.

This our country ehn, we have thousands of graduates of international relations and political science, with their knowledge and expertise, working in banks, driving Uber, teaching in schools, and other different skills not related to his or her trained field, yet we say we want to grow as a country.
Any country that has sense, will use all of its national as staffs at embassies, even with your people, you can be infiltrated, not to talk of foreigners.

Maybe the Qatari guy is needed to bridge the language gap. The embassy does not necessarily have to employ national of their representing countries, as the scope and extent of their work extend beyond security, bilateral, consultatory operations. Also, I have friends that have done an internship at the embassies that is different from their own nationality. It is not uncommon.

then I put it to you that if you continue this trend for the next 2-3 years, especially if you are a youth that has a bright future ahead, the likelihood that you'll end up as a failure in life is high.

If you put all the minutes you spend on unproductive things online, it's enough to find a bearing for your life and loved ones even in the midst of the hardship all around.

If it's a non diplomatic position, a local citizen would most likely be employed. It's the norm everywhere

So are you expecting them to hire a Nigerian cleaner? A nigerian driver? A Nigerian security guard? A Nigerian receptionist?

The menial jobs are mostly occupied by the nationals of where the embassy is situated.

There are some exceptions like the consulate in Douala Cameroon, most if not all the workers there are Nigerians, from the cleaner to the driver to the consulate general but these menial workers are not posted from Abj HQ rather employed from the locale.

But the main office work is exclusive to the Nigerian civil servant or foreign service officers.

Hmmmmmmm, most countries employ locals in their various embassy, why go through stress of recruiting and training an employee at higher cost when there is a readily available potential employee.
Citizens are given sensitive position, while locals are used to fill operations/adminstrative post

It is the same reason our leaders prefer foreign healthcare to local hospitals, holidays abroad to holidays within. We don't have confidence in the abilities of our fellow Nigerians due to inferiority complex.
