Yes. From what I have read online, I will contact US Embassy, they will give me a letter to travel and upon my arrival in the US, I will fill i90(Green card renewal) and pay the replacement fee but the problem is it takes 5 to 1 year to get another green card.

If I need to travel outside the country, I will need to do an infopass and get a green card(soft copy) stamped on my passport.

Its better to guide the card very well.

Just saw this thread!......great job!...both photos and comments to support them! On the quoted..... continue to guard your Green Card fiercely when outside the US. As a PR.... you would not be allowed to re enter without it..... and don't ask me how I know! And while you apply for a new one... pray that you get it and return before being six months abroad.

I have 2 frustrations.

Number 1: People I know in Nigeria be saying when I come home, I need to be very careful(its a good advice). Dont walk, dont take bike, always go with your car BUT the way I saw people driving on the road assured me I can't survive that kind of driving no more without bashing my car and my driving license will even be delivered to my on Wednesday(Jan 1st). My friend that helps with movement had to go on errands and I have places to be. My friends in the US said it's a bad idea to go to the bank alone that I might be kidnapped. I was like how will be kidnapped? Will I walk to the bank and say " Hey people, I'm from the US". I have a very strong ibadan accent just like Aywhy93 so how will someone kidnap me. I'm a full blooded Nigerian and I just want to experience stuffs that I have done before. I walked to the bank smiling hearing the horn of cars, people cursing lol.. I took a bike and was so glad. I enjoyed the breeze as the bike was rolling down iwo road. It reminded me of my roots and how fun it is to be climbing back then AND I wasnt kidnapped..

Frustration Number 2 : When i visited people I had to deliver goods to, Anytime I say "My name is xxxxxx and your son sent me from the US" You see them kneeling down and all kind of stuffs and kinda made me so embarrassed. They were giving me some kind of treatment but I just want to be seen as a person that I am not because of where i come from/lives. I have been asked severally how I'm coping with the hot weather. I'm always quick to remind them that I'm a Nigerian and weather can't do no harm. The weather I have had for over 30 years. I was being treated because of my "status" which I really didnt like at all. We are all human beings before any other things else

Goldberg beer costs N500 while at a regular bar, it costs N200. So they can take 5 to 6 bottles each and instead of wasting my money on expensive beer, they opted for the regular bar. All they asked was N2000 for 10 bottles. 10 bottles would have cost me N5,000.

So all of a sudden, he said No, this club does 30k for Hennessy. That's too much. They were trying to beat the price down to go for the lowest. He said put into consideration money for girls, money for hotel to fvck those girls. Those are expensive.

My Gee said, let's take those girls by 2am, that way their price will be 3k to 4k, knows a low cheap motel for 2k per night.

The way they were planning the event was so cool and convinced they dont want me to go broke by spending my money. They were so comfortable with the lowest of things as to save me more money..

Once my wife gets back to the US, I'll be hanging with them only. I have set aside money for 10 bottles per day for them each till I come back to the US.
