Julian Weigl transfer to benfica is the biggest shock i have seen

Why would a regular dortmund player leave for benfica?

This is a player that psg barca mancity have been interested in about 2 seasons ago

Leon Balogun is in contention to play his first game for Brighton & Hove this decade when they tackle Sheffield Wednesday in the Emirates FA Cup at the American Express Community Stadium this weekend.

It has come to light that the central defender was not available for selection during the festive programme due to illness.

Having said that, Balogun could be forced to depart the Seagulls before the expiration of his contract as he has found game time difficult to come by whether he's fit or not.

You have to go back to December 26, 2018 to find the last time the Nigeria international last played in the English Premier League, a 1-1 draw against Arsenal in which he went the distance.

Providing an injury update ahead of Saturday's tie against the Owls, Brighton manager Graham Potter said in his pre-match press conference : "Leon Balogun is fit and comes into contention. He was sick over Christmas which is why he wasn’t involved but he has been training.

"There is a chance Solly March could be involved in the group on Saturday".

Former Mainz, Fortuna Düsseldorf and Werder Bremen man Balogun has entered the final six months of his contract with Brighton.

When Semi Ajayi scored for West Bromwich Albion yesterday in their 1-1 draw against Leeds United, the 26 year old was not in the know that he has further established himself as the highest goal scoring defender ever in the history of players of the senior national team of Nigeria at club level.

Ajayi has so far scored 19 career goals at club level and that is more than any other Nigerian defender who has played in Europe in the history of Nigerian football. Joseph Yobo is the closest with 13 goals to his name.

Ajayi who is now the first choice centre defence pair for the Super Eagles alongside William Troost-Ekong can easily pass as the most improved Nigerian player last year as he moved from getting dropped for the Africa Cup of Nations to becoming one of the pillars in the team.

At promotion chasing West Brom he has been ever present for the team with his performance earning him as many as six man of the match award following his transfer from relegated Championship side Rotherham United in the summer.

Linked with a move to a team in the English Premier League in the January transfer window, he looks however certain to remain at West Brom where he hope to aid their push for promotion by not just stopping strikers from scoring but also scoring as well.

He has four goals this season from his position as a central defender and the tally makes him the joint sixth highest goal scorer for his team so far after 26 league matches in the English Championship this season.

Yes very possible but just hoping the January-february jinx phobia won't count yet again

It's because Arsenal's style of play last night refused to allow for the usual and regular counter attacking approach that Man United is known for.

Hence the continued back pass from the midfield to the defence line by Man United that completely negates them.

A proud Gunner though that the above is coming from

Hope this 19 goals tally includes his own goals right?

Else I would have said the figure is higher than 19.

Infact, the own goal is included from the below

And I an Happy to know that he is once a Gunner between 2013-2015 grin

Okay let's calculate it

1+1+11+4 = 17

He scored 2 (both goals) in the 1:1 Draw against Leeds United yesterday

So,

17 + 2 = 19 in total Which is correct.

Meaning, he just scored his first ever own goal yesterday if I am not mistaken.

Note: My comment is not meant to berates him oooooo but just summing up his total goals tally for accuracy too

Now, according to Wikipedia, he has 17 goals in total.

(Remember Wikipedia hasn't included yesterday goals)

Plus the 2 (including own goal) yesterday, making it 19 all together that the report by charlesemeka85 is talking about

my friend.. making advances on foreign born players is not even one of our problem. It's one of the solutions to having a great team. Developing the league is also a solution. They go hand in hand. Even developed countries do that. It seems like we don't know our problem in this country. How is making advances on players abroad preventing us from developing the league? Please explain.

Alright then.

But that means Wikipedia itself is not to be taken seriously then because the total they gave is 17

And upon clicking on his career stats, the below wrong information (according to you and the report by charlesemeka85 now, else it would have been 17 in total and not 19) is gotten from the page.

And it showed just 2 goals in the championship before yesterday this season and a total of 15 in his career

So I can't be blamed for anything wrongly postulated earlier
