I wanted to buy an EOD 2003 model from the USA but somehow my cousin got a good deal on a Lexus ES300 2003 model. Please can someone tell me how effective is this car.

There's no such car as the 'Lexus E300'. Lexus has the 'ES' range of saloons, which are technically dressed up toyota camrys (the latest model switched to the platform of the latest avalon though). The ES300 uses the same 3.0L V6 found in the camry- and is almost as reliable (their onboard electronics are slightly more complex than the camry).

A 2003 ES 300 is more luxurious than a V6 Camry so buy it.

I've got an es300 since 2006 and I tell u, its comfort dressed as a car!
Low fuel consumption, electronic gadgets that was ahead of time (back then-lol) n I've nvr replaced any engine part except the usual oil changes.
A speed demon/angel too.
U won't go wrong with an es300!

In all sincerity, it did.
2 years ago, after keeping it in the garage for about 2yrs, I was still able to get #500k for it.

Parking it was basically due to ego. I didnt want old classmates seeing me in it. About 10yrs after graduation.

I'm thinking of getting the tokunbo but its almost the price of a Muscle Camry

Sorry guys, I didn't state earlier that it was the 96 model I used.

But I'm sure later updates will have stronger yet sleeker performance.

The ES300 is very much a V6 camry of that same year with a tuxedo. You know, plush leather, thicker glass, more padding, suspension tune to effortlessly sock up bumps which accounts for its very quiet and refined ride. Its a good car but very ugly IMO. Those headlights that makes it look like a depressed creature from the bottom of the Pacific. Prefer the 2005 Avalon. But who cares. If you like it, nothing else matters.
