Hahahaha see this foolish guys...your loan repayment for that over priced, over used, ready to dump sgr grew from sh31bn to sh71.4bn reflecting a 130% increase in just a current fiscal period and a roadside idiot like you is telling me sgr is long term....

Is it not clear to you that the Chinese are killing you and your unborn children with wicked, unprecedented debt and your useless govt signed up for it....Same way they want to build a less than 20km bridge for about $2.5bn when Lagos is building a 38km suspended bridge which will be the longest on the continent and the strip the one in Cairo off her tittle for a lesser price than that deliberate debt Japan is trying to hang on Your zoo.....Kenyatta is busy taxing the hell out of your brain to met target but in the end we all know it ends on a trip to Namibia or the Emirates, and that is why your debt never decreases despite the constant wicked, demonic taxing from the Kenyatta's coven of witches and warlords grin ...

You and kikuyu should stop trying to sound intelligent when infact you both hood rats are far less knowledgeable than a 2 year old kid.....so the foolishess in you that led you to say jamb graduate has also told you nigeria does not have a functional sgr...mumu I don't know what you mean by 10 years..... Abuja-kaduna was completed in 2016 and just last year(2019) we completed three lines which are Lagos-abeokuta, lagos-ibadan,warri-itakpe,....All that is left is for the over 13 stations to be completed by March and commissioning will commence...people are already using this sgr for free as the engineers are constantly test running it daily..

By 2023 you will be able to go from Kano to Warri , Kano to Lagos, abuja to Lagos etc

shut up

Your budget is 30 billion
Your revenue/tax is 12 billion

dont confuse yourself
Go back to the drawing board and correct yourself

over bloated, magical $30bn budget....with $30bn budget 10,000km of tarred road network is all they have to show for after 56 years of independence.....

$30bn budget a km of road is barely constructed without going to get a very wicked, un-payable Chinese loan...

SGR is long term project that will last 200yrs plus.

Kenya SGR is ahead it's schedule and will break even soon. Nigeria SGR that began about 10yrs earlier than Kenya SGR is still under construction..mere 150Kms btw Lagos-Ibandan smiley smiley smiley...Ghana is still under 'research'.

While Kenya has clocked nearly 700-800kms of greenfield(new) SGR together with two dry ports.

The railway earned a combined Sh8.8 billion over the period from the two services, a 136 per cent jump from Sh3.73 billion earned over a similar period in 2018, according to the latest data from the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS).

Still lower than the operational cost of sgr

both Ghana and Nigeria have more than 2000km lines of rail.

Kenyans

whiles you aim to catch up with Ghana, We will soon achieve universal access to electricity oo grin grin grin grin grin

the last 354 communities are about to be connected.

354 communities in the Upper East Region will be connected to the national grid under the second phase of the Thengashep rural electrification project.

This was revealed by the Deputy Minister of Energy Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam.

He noted that government has secured $140 million from Standard Chartered Bank to continue the project which is geared towards achieving

universal access to electricity by 2025 and improving livelihoods of all localities across the region.
Kenyan was there 4yrs ago through a project called last mile connections.

Nearly every African country has some thousand of km of British or European colonial built MGR.We are talking green Field SGR in Kenya. That began operations 2yrs ago and you're in such a hurry to see it profitable.Give it 5yrs...it will then be able to meet it OPEX, have some money left to repay debts and even make some profit or invest in CAPEX.

Why isn't IMF running Kenya like it's run your rudderless country.Kenya revenues are about 21b...taxes projected to bring in 17-18B and A-I-A( licensing fees, fines, services charges) about 4 B dollars.Tell you what if you remove minerals royalties n taxes from Ghana revenue...your taxes are less than our A-I-A.Nigeria is even worse because their revenues is almost exclusively oil money.

Talk is cheap.
1) No manufacturing can happen in an environment where basic electricity is still rocket science - and where infrastructure has nearly totally collapsed. Once you fix electricity - you can talk about manufacturing. For now all those wet dreams about Longrich, Lekki and textiles are just tall tales

2) Agriculture - .Beyond the rosy make-believe stats - the real proof of the Nigerian pudding is in eating them. Food inflation has risen to nearly 15% - thanks to borde closure - because the rice scam run by your CBN doesn't translate to real production.

3) Your gov is BROKE - BANKRUPT. The federal gov of Nigeria is spending SHOCKING 75% of it's revenues to service debts. It has to borrow locally to pay salaries and pension. A broke gov cannot build infrastructure (capita expenditure) when it cannot meet recurrent expenditure. That is why your gov has resorted to asking Dangote to build roads for them.

Oil price has gone up because if the conflict Middle East America killed an army general in Iran so there is a lot of tension which could likely resort in a massive war bigger than the ISIS problem etc, if this escalates no oil will be bought from the Middle East meaning they would come to Nigeria instead I suspect the price would increase to 75-90 dollars per barrel

We only started construction in 2017 so I don't know what you mean 10 years ago they were jdut looting the money left right and centre so they did not do that much they completed Abuja to kaduna railway now they'll compete Lagos-ibadan than they will do ibadan- Abuja, kaduna to kano, ibadan to kano and Abuja to warri those are all the railway projects that will be either completed or 90% completed by 2023 and Nigeria's economy is expected to grow at 2.6% or 2.5% according to the world Bank, IMF and other sources
Wet dreams cannot finance SGR.You began SGR construction I think in 2005...and all you ever completed is useless Abuja kaduna passenger line that carries 1k passengers daily.Lagos-Ibandan SGR like expressway is hopelessly behind schedule. You need to grow beyond your pop growth rate...so 2.5% is not enough to make a dent on poverty

Nope the Lagos-Ibadan railway started construction March 2017 and is scheduled to be completed March 2020, in 2005 they only made a master plan for railway connectivity no construction physically started the Abuja-Kaduna railway started in 2012 and was completed in 2016 please don’t come to me with lies

Mere 150kms Ibandan Lagos was signed in 2012 and to this date is yet to be completed because your gov is inept and broke. The rest are details.Kenya we signed on 2014 and by 2017 it was operational..600kms and we signed 2yrs to finish 150kms that involved digging underground tunnels through the great rift valley..throw in 2 dry ports..and about 5yrs later..our SGR has seen passenger traffic approaching 4m and annual cargo at 5-6m metric tonnes

No construction started until 2017 some contract could have been signed in 2012 but that government looted all the money so the project never took off the project on,y actually got proper funding and was started in 2017

for 53 million people to be collecting 12 billion in taxes is disappointing.

IMF is not running Ghana .
China is running Kenya, from your biggest infrastructure project all the way down to everything in mombasa.

We are 47m.Our ordinary tax revenue are projected at 17-18B.our Appropriation in Aid at 3-4B.Total 21B.The rest we will borrow prudently.China as creditor is not as cruel as your daddy the IMF who literally runs Ghana.China are really chilled out and I'd bet if we were to be hard pressed they'd give us more time to repay. They have way too much money unlike the broke IMF.
