Just30: over bloated, magical $30bn budget....with $30bn budget 10,000km of tarred road network is all they have to show for after 56 years of independence..... $30bn budget a km of road is barely constructed without going to get a very wicked, un-payable Chinese loan... |

Just30:Nearly every African country has some thousand of km of British or European colonial built MGR.We are talking green Field SGR in Kenya. That began operations 2yrs ago and you're in such a hurry to see it profitable.Give it 5yrs...it will then be able to meet it OPEX, have some money left to repay debts and even make some profit or invest in CAPEX. 2 Likes |

Just30:Why isn't IMF running Kenya like it's run your rudderless country.Kenya revenues are about 21b...taxes projected to bring in 17-18B and A-I-A( licensing fees, fines, services charges) about 4 B dollars.Tell you what if you remove minerals royalties n taxes from Ghana revenue...your taxes are less than our A-I-A.Nigeria is even worse because their revenues is almost exclusively oil money. 2 Likes 1 Share |

rvp20182: Oil price has gone up because if the conflict Middle East America killed an army general in Iran so there is a lot of tension which could likely resort in a massive war bigger than the ISIS problem etc, if this escalates no oil will be bought from the Middle East meaning they would come to Nigeria instead I suspect the price would increase to 75-90 dollars per barrel 2 Likes |

Abohboy:Wet dreams cannot finance SGR.You began SGR construction I think in 2005...and all you ever completed is useless Abuja kaduna passenger line that carries 1k passengers daily.Lagos-Ibandan SGR like expressway is hopelessly behind schedule. You need to grow beyond your pop growth rate...so 2.5% is not enough to make a dent on poverty 3 Likes |

rvp20182: Nope the Lagos-Ibadan railway started construction March 2017 and is scheduled to be completed March 2020, in 2005 they only made a master plan for railway connectivity no construction physically started the Abuja-Kaduna railway started in 2012 and was completed in 2016 please don’t come to me with lies |

Abohboy:Mere 150kms Ibandan Lagos was signed in 2012 and to this date is yet to be completed because your gov is inept and broke. The rest are details.Kenya we signed on 2014 and by 2017 it was operational..600kms and we signed 2yrs to finish 150kms that involved digging underground tunnels through the great rift valley..throw in 2 dry ports..and about 5yrs later..our SGR has seen passenger traffic approaching 4m and annual cargo at 5-6m metric tonnes 2 Likes 1 Share |

rvp20182: No construction started until 2017 some contract could have been signed in 2012 but that government looted all the money so the project never took off the project on,y actually got proper funding and was started in 2017 |

rvp20182:you are not making sense for 53 million people to be collecting 12 billion in taxes is disappointing. IMF is not running Ghana . China is running Kenya, from your biggest infrastructure project all the way down to everything in mombasa. we've all seen what projection has done to your SGR 2 Likes 1 Share |

Just30:We are yet to ask for IMF Bailout so worry less... Ethiopia have asked the Chinese to reschedule the sgr debt..that is an option we can take...but we are happy repaying our debts unlike Ghana |
Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by rvp20182: 12:30pm On Jan 03, 2020 |
Just30:We are 47m.Our ordinary tax revenue are projected at 17-18B.our Appropriation in Aid at 3-4B.Total 21B.The rest we will borrow prudently.China as creditor is not as cruel as your daddy the IMF who literally runs Ghana.China are really chilled out and I'd bet if we were to be hard pressed they'd give us more time to repay. They have way too much money unlike the broke IMF. 1 Like |
