alBHAGDADI: Even most unbelievers wouldn't do such, does that mean they're saved. I have one final question for you, what is the role and importance of the holy spirit? |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by Harshirama(m): 4:40pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
alBHAGDADI:Is that all what you could infer from what I said, I read both the old and new testament. If you believe we are still under some parts of the law, you have thrown away the new testament. |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by alBHAGDADI: 4:42pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
Harshirama: You don't seem to know why Jesus died. To you, he died so we will no longer obey God's laws. That's a wrong idea. Before he came, Mankind was dependent on the law as a means of eternal salvation. It was very difficult for them to keep, so Jesus came to die for mankind. We now attain eternal salvation by believing in his death, burial and resurrection. That is our ticket to heaven, not by doing the law. This doesn't say we can now throw away the law. If that's what it means , then we can now all be homosexuals, rapists, murderers, cross dresser etc. But since all these things have punishment even in the new testament, then we as children of God are to keep obeying such laws because God frowns against those who don't. Please read your Bible and stop listening to rap music . |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by alBHAGDADI: 4:46pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
Harshirama: I haven't because both books are the word of God. Of God didn't tell you in the new testament to stop doing somethings he spoke of in the old testament, then it means you are to continue with them. Discarding them when he hasn't said otherwise is the same as throwing away his word. |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by Harshirama(m): 4:49pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
alBHAGDADI: When did I say Jesus died so we wouldn't obey God's law. One important thing you omitted was the importance of the holy spirit, do you even believe in the holy spirit at all? The holy spirit guides us into all truth. Will the holy spirit inspire you to steal, will he inspire you to fornicate? What I'm saying his we no longer look to the old testament laws. The laws were made because of sin. |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by alBHAGDADI: 4:50pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
Harshirama: They won't do such because Christians preach against it. But before Christianity, such was the order of the day. The holy Spirit guides you into all things. It reminds you of what God said in the Bible. John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 16:13 King James Version (KJV) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by Harshirama(m): 4:51pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
alBHAGDADI: I read both my Bible and I listen to rap music, I've always been a lover of music and Christian rap is good enough. Simple. Just say you don't like rap as a whole and we'll end the argument. |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by alBHAGDADI: 4:53pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
Harshirama: Failure to look into the old testament laws is the reason why you are not obeying the Holy Spirit when he speaks against cross dressing, earrings and long hair by men. Since you have discarded the old testament, how can you know what the Holy Spirit is even telling you? Do those who wear earrings and long hair as men even have the holy Spirit? If yes, why isn't he telling them that it is wrong? I guess they failed to listen. |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by Harshirama(m): 4:54pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
alBHAGDADI: I'm glad you at least believe in the holy spirit. What happens is when we're saved, our nature has been changed from the old sinful nature. If we are tempted by sin, the holy spirit helps us to avoid it and if we fall into sin, the holy spirit convicts us. You don't need the law to know what's right from wrong. The holy spirit helps you to do that |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by Harshirama(m): 4:57pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
alBHAGDADI: You are bringing culture into the Bible bro, in some tribes here in Nigeria, men tie wrappers like women and does that mean they've disobeyed God's law of not wearing what belongs to a woman. For the rappers using earrings and all, are you the holy spirit to judge them? |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by OLUWABIG(m): 4:57pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
alBHAGDADI: Hmm have you ever spotted any of them especially Pastor Trip Lee or KB ? |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by Harshirama(m): 4:58pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
alBHAGDADI: You seem to have a problem with them in general. Do you listen to foreign gospel artists? If you do, I'll like you to list them here |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by alBHAGDADI: 4:59pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
Harshirama: When I want to listen to rap music, I listen DMX and 2pac. I don't go about fooling myself by listening to gospel rap. Doing such is tantamount to smoking weed after wrapping it with a page from the Bible. Such can be called gospel weed |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by Harshirama(m): 5:01pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
alBHAGDADI: Wearing of earrings is a normal cultural thing done over there, same with long hair. So you want to tell me those guys are going to hell because of hairstyle? Most of them are better Christians than you and I |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by Harshirama(m): 5:03pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
alBHAGDADI: You want to compare 2pac's lyrics and lifestyle with trip Lee or Andy mineo? You are not in anyway knowledgeable about Christian hip hop, I'm not a newbie and I sure know what I'm talking about. I've been following them for years which you haven't |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by Harshirama(m): 5:05pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
OLUWABIG: I so much dislike self righteous christians, next thing he'll say is trip Lee is a false preacher |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by OLUWABIG(m): 6:24pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
Harshirama: have you ever watched KB's " art of drifting documentary" ? you will know why KB will not want to mess up with God and i have also watched Trip Lee preach too at least two sermons |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by Harshirama(m): 6:38pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
OLUWABIG: Yeah. Did you listen to kb's last album. That was his best album in my opinion |

Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by Harshirama(m): 6:52pm On Mar 06, 2019 |

Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by alBHAGDADI: 7:54pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
Harshirama: Christianity puts a stop to awkward cultures. Our culture in Africa has to do with a lot of things contrary to the Bible. We have abandoned them because of fear of God. |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by OLUWABIG(m): 9:04pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
Harshirama: After listening to both songs coupled with " new portrait " and you still cant see any meaning in christian comtemporary then your issue is beyond me |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by Harshirama(m): 9:16pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
OLUWABIG: I think kB got the award for best worship album at dove awards. I liked that new portrait mehn, especially because I listened to da truth's version first |
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by OLUWABIG(m): 9:40pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
