Instead of embarrassment from anyhow riders, there’s option to just buy vouchers which they accept at the Lekki ikoyi link bridge. Attachment below. I bought 10 which is 3k. Due to slow systems in getting etags 5 Likes

But your experience hasn't made Festac to Yaba offline deal a bad one for someone living close. That deal wasn't right for you becuase you live farther than the woman's location, I understand your point. Felicity001: 2 Likes |

Felicity001: Has it been sold? He can still buy it. Bro, go with a good mechanic. People can only give you advice to stay off naija used cars based on personal experiences but can be wrong sometimes. Some naija used cars could as well pass off as tokunbo with good maintenance. 2 Likes |

I sincerely think AngryIgboMan is right to an extent. A driver who stops a trip becuase of several stopovers or a lengthy stopover is in order. It Is in the driver's discretion to either accept or reject stop over. Any driver who rejects stopovers hasnt done bad. That a driver accepts doesn't mean all drivers should. We have different targets in this hustle and stopover is a cheat and enemy to acheiving daily targets. While I may accept stopover in some occasions, I could still reject it in some occasions. Depends on mood and the riders. My advice is just that in every issue, even when rejecting riders, let's just handle it with all civility. Good luck to everyone 11 Likes |

Take for instance you’ve an offer to take an HP on a 9ja used Camry (big daddy), 05. Investor spent 1.3m and needs 2.3m in 2yrs. Do you think it’s a fair deal for driver? Or how much should be reasonable for this Nigeria used car? Or would you rather investor get a direct tokunbo and everything falls within 1.6m how much would be fair as return in this condition? Urgent response pls. Thanks all 1 Like |

Felicity001: Very tough decision, brother Personally, i always like to consider THE DURATION. Two years is a really long time to drive a Naija used Camry, and then own it. If I'm an investor, i will delete the idea of buying a tokunboh. The reason is because most drivers dont end up finishing the plan, and the car will end up as a Naija used; Rejected and stigmatized I'll prefer getting a naija used that is very okay. I mean Very Sound. Lets say it ends up at the 1.3 million. Instead of putting it up for 2 years(104 weeks) at 2.3 million(I'm guessing 25k every week), i'll put it up for 2.1 million, (35k every week for 60 weeks) The shorter the duration, the more realistic it is to complete the HP plan My Opinion 1 Like |

Felicity001: This will probably spark an argument but that's just making excuses in my opinion. Everyone makes the same excuse for bad behavior and it continues. All the way up the government ranks. When will everyone stop making excuses for bad behavior and change it? Everyone is waiting for someone else right? 9 Likes |

peeps4u:You are very right @bold. The big question is who pay for the time wasted during stop over? These riders will never compensate u for your time wasted. That's the truth. Some drivers accept stop over because they don't have strength for arguments, not that they approve it. Stopover is shortage to drivers, regardless of the time. Riders who engage in frequent stop over also have the intention to cheat drivers & women are mostly fond of this. Bank is at d front of ur house, until u order uber, that is when u know u will withdraw. Why not stroll to d bank & withdraw before ordering a ride? Some of these stop over are avoidable, but they will want to make u their personal driver for 500 naira trip & at d end of d trip they will still be dragging 50 naira change with u. Forgetting u have sacrificed money & time waiting for them at stop over. 5 Likes |

AngryIgboMan: Nice write up bro. Thanks for the info. Yesterday I took a rider from Ikoyi to jakande 1st gate and she asked me to wait let her quickly rush up to drop her items and that I should take her to cadogan in jakande. While she came down I checked the fare it was 2k, she spent about 10minutes and when we started moving I checked again the same 2k, we got to her destination and I ended the trip still 2k. I told her that I have to do review. I did review and put 2500 uptill now it is still on review. However, I she gave me 2,200 that whatever it is I should call her. I was really angry. Same yesterday, in the afternoon I took a guy from karimu kotun vi to eko hotel to change money, from eko hotel to the palms and waited for him 15minutes then to friends colony in jakande to pick up something and from there to his final destination inside jakande when I ended the trip I saw 2,300 I was mad!!! Abeg!!! Anybody with saka should help my ministry. Pls, call me 07059962728. Thanks |

izzou: It's now a norm, you dare no kick against that you'll see them attacking you like hungry dogs. Coming up with all manner of stories to backup their weaknesses. Who doesn't have unfavorable encounter in this hustle? Even in our various offices we encounter challenges. According to dru23, majority of our drivers can't work in a corporate environment. They will never collect their first month salary in a corporate environment, it'll be a pay off. Sometimes I wonder if they undergone the usual training before activation. Though I'm not surprise, this is Nigeria, lots of people graduated from the higher institutions with empty brains, how much more über's few hours training. deedee44: It baffles me when I see the display of such attitudes. That's one of the things that leads to the high level of joblessness in this country. I'm saying this from experience as an interview team member in my establishment. I'm not supposed to say this; How I identify mannerless peeps during interviews is, I plant some of my junior staffs among them, pretending to be job seekers too. Those ones will step on their toes, do all manner of things right there in the waiting hall to see their reaction before their interview, they'll not hide their color. Sometimes they engage them on some kinda discussion to see how they communicate, their addiction, etc. with this method we have rejected many job seekers with good qualification. Where I work character and skills are what we emphasize on, not some blank decree with empty brain. I implemented this because of one guy that came onboard for the first time, in the interview room he was forming bornagain but when the right time came he showed his true color. he almost threw our safety officer off an oil rig, in the name of forming Lagos boy. By the time we finished with him and prove to him that we are all insane than him there our superintendent called emergency chopper to get him off. before he resumed in the office the next few days the receptionist welcomed him with his termination letter (not even through email) and the security escorted him. It's terrible. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Let me derail a little A TYPICAL DAILY SCENARIO BETWEEN AN OKADA RIDER AND A PASSENGER You leave your location to enter a bike. You stand by the roadside and see an okada passing. You stop him, "Okada, come". He comes, and after negotiating, you both agree for a fare of #200 You climb the bike and the journey begins. As you go, you caution him when he speed. "Oga small small naa". You command him to take lanes or turns he doesn't. "You no dey see say that side don block? Pass here oga" All these while, he doesn't respond. He keeps obeying your choices. And then you remember you need to withdraw. You tell him, "Abeg stop me for that Keystone bank, I want withdraw" He stops you and parks his bike to wait. You use the ATM and climb again. After every every, you get to your destination. You: Give me change(Bringing out #1000) Okada man: I no get change You: Me sef no get. Find change abeg The man parks his bike with you, walks from here to there till he gets change. Few times, you even make side remarks of how your time is wasted. Yet he doesn't bother. After every every, he gives you your #800. No gratitude from you, but he doesn't care.... He moves, unto the next ************************************************* OBSERVATIONS 1) You didn't greet him when you called him. He didn't even care, and he did not remind you about manners. After all, manners won't pay his bills. He showed up 2)You were directing him, and he obeyed you. Even against his will, he did it. He did not remind you that he owns his bike and you should just keep quiet. No, he knows why he's on the road 3)You stopped at an ATM. He parked. He didn't think you cheated him. After all, you want to withdraw. He applied his understanding and waited 4)You asked him to look for change. He didn't remind you that his bike is over 200k and that he can't leave it because of #200. He looked for the change, you didn't thank him and he didn't care. This is what an average okada man(probably not educated) will face and how he will most likely react everyday 16 Likes |

NOW, LET ME TALK ABOUT ME, "ÏŽŹÖÙ, AN UBER DRIVER I switch on my app, and a request enters Me:Hello, good morning. It's the uber you ordered Rider: Oga where are you? Follow your map immediately. I'm waiting Me: Sir/Ma, at least you should respond to my greetings before dishing out orders Rider: I don't have time for this. Okay Good morning sir. Be fast Abeg. I'm late Me: I am not the cause of your lateness. If you can't talk calmly to me, please just cancel. Don't pour your frustration on me Rider: You are crazy. Me: Thunder fire you ********************************************** Phone beeps, I accept. We meet and start the journey Rider: Please speed a little, I'm late Me: Madam, please don't tell me what to do. If you are not comfortable with my speed, I'll end the trip Rider: What's wrong with you? Me: Nothing is wrong with me.(I park and end trip) Me: I have ended the trip. Get out of my car abeg ************************************************* While on a trip,.... Rider: Please I'd like to pick my clothes at the dry cleaners Me: Madam, I don't do stopovers. I can't wait more than 5 minutes if I do Rider: Oga, you know it will definitely take more than 5 minutes. I won't be long. Max is 15 minutes Me: Sir, I can't stay 15 minutes, unless you'll pay for my time Rider: But the app is still running Na? Me: It's either I end it, or I take you to your destination ************************************************ I drop a rider. After 5 minutes. Rider calls Rider: Hello, please I left a diary in your car. Did you see it Me: Check and sees it. No, I didn't see it. It's not in my car Rider: Oh God, please incase you see it, just let me know abeg Me:Okay ma Yimu. Rubbish eediot. I see a LAWMA truck in traffic and fling the diary there. Nonsense ************************************************** I could go on and on, but this is how I run my day. I don't have time for riders without manners. After all, I have manners, so every one must have them I won't do stopovers for more than 5 minutes. It cheating to me(But I can leave my engine and AC running in a standstill traffic for 2 hours and that's not cheating). If you won't pay for waiting after 5 minutes, I'm not waiting For every word you say to me, I must respond. I own my car and how much do you want to pay sef, that you're feeling like and oga?. If you speak harshly to me, I must insult you, and end the trip. Their fada I don't return items. I don't have that strength. If I see anything, I throw it away. After all, these riders will never pay. After my first bad experience, I swore never to return any item. Even if I see a Rolls Royce Wraith key in my car, I'm flinging it outta my window This is me, and this is how I survive everyday 11 Likes 1 Share |

At the bolded, that was why I said anyone who rejects trips over stopover is in order. If a driver sees he cant afford those stopovers; tell the riders and cancel. But any trip rejection doesnt have to be with fight. Let's just be gentle men behind the wheel. mrsteel: |
