Will She Be Allowed Into Canada by remioshy(f): 3:27pm On Jan 04, 2020 |
Hello House Please if anyone has genuine knowledge about this or can direct to Canadian authority contact that can give answers and advice My niece is currently in UK on a visit and returns to Nig early March Her current passport expires 18th March 2020 and she has a Canadian visitor visa of 5 years which also expires 18th of March 2020. She has visited Canada once last year but planning to visit again before the visa expires . She is planning to visit Canada for a week between 16th feb to 23rd Feb 2020. The question bothering us is will she be allowed to enter Canada as her passport and visa expires in a months time. We don't want a situation of wasting money for tickets and then being turned back from port of entry because of the soon to expire passport. We have looked online for information but nothing concrete and we even thought of contacting Canadian authority to ask if she can come In but don't know where to direct the enquiries. Should she buy her tickets and chance/risk it and hope for the best So if anyone is knowledgeable about this pls advice Thanks for your help |

remioshy: She will be fine as long as she has a return ticket showing that and does not have a record of overstaying her visa |

She would not be allowed with the international passport which is expiring soon. Ask her to renew her passport now and attached it with the one about to expire and go to Canada. That is just it. She must have at least 6 month validity of her International passport. 1 Like |

That is just it. She must have at least 6 month validity of her International passport. That is just not true, only when you are applying for visa that you need at least 6months validity. |
