You can't drink them. It is a mixture of sodium carbonate and baking soda.The waters are very similar to ammonia. Even the PH levels are like those of ammonia.So those minerals and sand causes the water colors to change.

If the water is heavily based in sodium and ammonia it is possible to generate electricity directly from the lake. Both sodium and ammonium are acidic. You an use the link as one big battery a very huge battery to generate electricity.
