The contractor died because USA lied to him. They sent him to his death in iraq after they used lies to invade iraq when the truth was that they simply wanted iraqi Oil. USA killed the contractor themselves through their lies. Suliemani was simply a tool to enforce this. USA did not frown at Suliemani when he killed the contractor but frowned when he organized the Iraqi Militia and used them to take down ISIS in Iraq.

Soleimani has been on US radar like you said...since Bush, then Obama before Trump.
