Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the finest players to have graced football field; his record speaks for itself but it is hard to find a player that is more enigmatic and controversial as the Swede. He is so good on the pitch as much he is with what comes out of his mouth. The flamboyant striker has verbally attacks many individuals but not many have come under his flaks as much as Cristiano Ronaldo.
The relationship between the duo is quite tense and it is believed to have started since 2010 when Ronaldo seemingly blocked Real Madrid transfer for Ibrahimovic.
The Swede desperately wanted to leave Barcelona where he had found life uncomfortable and was excited when Real Madrid reportedly showed interest in him. However, Los Blancos went cold on the deal and the striker believed it was Ronaldo who blocked his path to Madrid.
He hasn’t hesitated to direct his gun at Cristiano since them, seizing every opportunity to shade his Portuguese counterpart.
The Swede has returned to the Serie A, re-uniting with Ac Milan but he has shown he is ready to fight for the spotlight with Ronaldo with a string of salvo fired at the Portuguese already.

4. Ronaldo scored a beauty of an overhead kick against Juventus for Real Madrid in the Champions League two years ago which attracted widespread praise but instead of the Swede to applaud the Portuguese for the magic he quickly reminded everyone of the similar goal he scored against England years before.

5. Zlatan was nearing his days at LA Galaxy and there were strong indications that he was heading back to Italy and when asked about the potential faceoff with Ronaldo Ibrahimovic simply said:
“The real Ronaldo is Brazilian. Cristiano’s is not a pure expertise, however the fruit of lots of work.”
6. Zlatan still caused uproar during his unveiling as AC Milan player when a reporter asked: "Here in Italy, you have to compete with the best player in the world. Are you ready for it?
