Let's get real here . . what made you think that the termination of the slavery will NOT be the beginning of her waking up to do better things in her life? How long will a 25 year old lady continue to be a slave to the master and even serving a woman that beleive over her dead body will the lady be good enough to be a wife to her brother.
The househelp has no future with her present employer.
The lady needs to either learn a trade or find a better way to make something happen for her.
