adurajoseph: You can try your luck with Thompson Rivers university post baccalaureate diploma program. The program helps to solidify weak undergraduate results and acts, gain industry relevant skills and most importantly act as a bridge for further post graduate studies. |

odinkaru:She can definitely sponsor you. She just need to show her employment letter, payslips and property documents. Also she needs to state in the sponsor letter her number of dependents. You can also include pictures especially from your childhood days. 1 Like |

Thanks for your reply. I actually made a mistake. I wanted to ask if I can do a grad cert in Hrm with a B.sc in sociology. I'm wondering if it won't pose as a red flag to the Vo. JustMellow: |

Hi guys, My application was submitted on the 30th of October and I enrolled my biometrics on the 1st of November. I also did upfront medical on the 28th of October. Since, then I have not had any updates on my application. Not even for medical. School starts on Monday and I’m worried. Last week, my eligibility review started. I’ve sent several emails and webforms to the Kenya office and I’ve been told that my application is “under active review.” Now, I’m trying to figure out the best time to contact IRCC with a deferral letter from school. I don’t want to jump the gun incase they get back to me this week. But I also don’t want to be refused on grounds that I can’t meet the resumption date. Does this make sense?! Can someone please advise? Thank you. |

Thank you so much, I really appreciate. Truth is I've been searching, but I've not seen any school with pgd in sociology. What about Human Resources Management? damidam: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by damidam(f): 4:55pm On Jan 05, 2020 |
tosiiNO:Human resource management is deeply connected with sociology, because the main responsibility of the Human Resources Manager lies in finding a personal approach to each employee, creating a friendly social environment in relations between workers and management, encouraging workers to do their best and managing the company. So you can consider a PGD in HRM too. All you need to do is a lot of research on schools that offers this course and check for their admission requirements. |

Thank you very much for this Dami. I've actually seen lots of schools with courses in Hrm. I was just scared it might pose as a red flag to the visa officer. damidam: |

tosiiNO:You're welcome. It would not pose a red flag if you do your research and read on relationships between the two courses. Good luck |

Hello my fellow Nairalanders, Is there any December applicant that is yet to get update on medical? My AOR is 10th Dec. I submitted an upfront medical and was sent to IRCC by my IOM on 18th Dec. My biometric was done on 16th and got updated same day. My eligibility and background check are running already. Pls is this normal and when am I likely to get a response? Thanks |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by damidam(f): 8:11pm On Jan 05, 2020 |
toogbasky:Have tried googling about schools and their admission requirement?? Most canadian schools accept a 2.1 for masters degree, all you have to do is research these things yourself and get the answers you want directly from a reliable source ( The school's website or an email from the admission office). Don't let anyone demoralize you with unverified and invalid information when you can actually google and get the right information. 3 Likes |

You can't be denied for not meeting up the resumption date, so dont panic. They will only ask for an updated admission letter with a future resumption date. So kindly defer your admission and request an admission letter for another intake. Once CIC requests, you just upload it. My advice is that you take your mind off resuming this intake, because you can't get passport request, submit, get stamped, book flight, and prepare for landing and still catch up with classes, except your school allows late resumption of 6-8weeks afterwards. One thing I advice, with IRCC, patience is a virtue you must cultivate. My little advice. Not compulsory you take it. okikiabdu: 3 Likes |

Good day my fellow Nairalanders (specifically the Gurus), I need your advice as to how I can apply for a Postgraduate Course in Canada. I graduated with 2.40 ( lower credit ), I’m actually planning to write IELTS by next month, prior to next month, which universities can I apply to, for that kind of my low CGP? I studied Physics Education ( BSc Ed)!! Are there any universities in Canada offering Educational courses, nevertheless, what other courses can I apply for? Thank you |
