Khanben: but this is how texans play, even when Kubiak was coach. I dont like the qb being micromanaged, but Watson has waaay more freedom than texans qb traditionally have. |

S. Payton and some questionable decisions.. Why not use your timeout instead of the 10 second runoff for that false start? He saved the timeout for what now? |

Khanben: He adjusted his game because he realized it won't do anything for him post season. In that game against the Sixers he was not begging for calls and using gimmickry so that was refreshing. He was not also forcing the game. Tbh I was thoroughly impressed. I think he is now thinking more about legacy because the window will soon completely close. I still maintain that they could have had a higher ceiling than LAL or LAC had CP3 stayed there and not Russell. Although, you are very right at Harden deferring to only Russell and that may yield results who knows. I know I said the LAC will win it all..but I am having a second look at the Rockets and for some reason, Harden assured the fans that he will win a chip. Also, one of the owners said they have to help him win one because he is 30 now and like I said before, the window is closing. If Harden keeps up the game I saw against the Sixers then the rockets have more than a fighter's chance. 2 Likes |

Roland17:That fumble by Brees was where the game was lost. I knew the Saints would lose it there. I hope he retires so they move on with Bridgewater. I am a fan of Brees but he's had too many chances since that Superbowl to get another ring. He will only get worse when it matters most 1 Like |

A40: How on earth do you play Rudolph 1v1? It was clear what the Vikings wanted to do when they separated him that far? The disparity in size and height was very clear!!!! Big win for Captain Kirk, he needed this win for his legacy. The Voodoo is real in New Orleans. You are right though and your thoughts buttresses what I said weeks ago about Brees in comparison to the GOAT and Brady. He has had the team over the years to have done better but I don’t think he would retire after this season. Meanwhile, we never play 1 full quarter, your MCM don enter locker room for concussion. Roland17:The Chargers would be the best choice for him. New stadium plus he's a SoCal boy so it would actually be the perfect fit. The Chargers have a solid O-Line, a #1 receiver, a stud RB probably 2 and Ekeler is an elite pass catcher as well. It almost makes too much sense. The Patriots defense was criminally overrated. It's why we need to put less stock on these stats. They crumbled every time they met any decent offense. Texans, Chiefs, Ravens even the Dolphins. They folded everytime I would probably skip on Brady if I were the Vikings. Realistically I don't think Brady has more than 2 seasons of passable QB play. The Bucs make more sense because of their offensive weapons |

Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 12:31am On Jan 06, 2020 |
Eruditor: Astute observations, his window is closing really fast. If you look at the WC, with what MPJ is producing now, he might just be the bucket getting wing they need to get them over the hump, probably not this year but from next year going forward. Dallas on the other hand has 3 more years of luka on his rookie contract plus enough cap room to take on a max player by 2021 or trade for one with picks they got from the Kings (although that is less likely). This IMHO increases the number of contending teams in the West to at least 5 from next season especially when we account for what GSW might be with the splash brothers and whatever they can get from the upcoming high draft pick and Russell if they decide to shop the pick. A player like KAT might come into play for them via trade and let's us forget that they are also a big part of the Giannis future destination (either via trade) or in the FA sweepstakes in 2021. So from next year we have the 2 LA teams, Rockets, Denver, and one of Dallas and GSW contending in the West. 1 Like |

A40: I love Teddy but unless they improve their receiving corps to the level of the Chiefs, where he will be throwing to guys who can take off the top of the defense, he is not the answer. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 12:46am On Jan 06, 2020 |
A40: I was thinking the colts, with that O-line, and those TEs that they have over there, add Frank Reich and the Dome TB12 might consider that if all he wants is to compete. But if other reasons are included especially his family then LA seems the best choice. Also for the Chargers they can sign him for 2 years and draft Tua if he falls to them, then sit him for at least 1 and let him not only heal up but also learn from the best to ever do it |

Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 2:37am On Jan 06, 2020 |
Khanben: He is not necessarily a good route runner and not all WR are great route runners. He kind of reminds me of J. Jones who is not a great route runner but we all know is a beast when it comes to catching the ball. He is only 22 and has time to develop but if he does not he would be fine. 1 Like |

Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:52am On Jan 06, 2020 |
zelgiusdigby:Rondo is a better playmaker, Bradley's as good a defender, if not better. And then there's Caruso who's as good a scorer |
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 7:56am On Jan 06, 2020 |
steady986: Did you just mention Rondo? Lol. You haven't been watching Lakers games have you? Bradley and Caruso have nothing to do with what collison brings to the table. Lakers need a playmaker more than they need a wing. Their second unit is horrible and that is mostly down to Rondo and it's affecting other bench players like kuzma. Rondo is not what he used to be. |
Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 8:00am On Jan 06, 2020 |
Khanben:I don't understand how, all of a sudden, Collison is the guy the Lakers need to propel us to a championship. He's been an average guard all his career. And he has never lit up the playoffs before. He's just a better FT shooter than all these guys. I'd rather stick to the guys I have. |
Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 8:02am On Jan 06, 2020 |
zelgiusdigby:There's no one on earth who'll tell you Collison is a better playmaker than Rondo. No one. He might be having a bad patch of form in terms of playmaking, but we know what he can do. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 8:04am On Jan 06, 2020 |
steady986: No one said he'll propel the Lakers to anything. The Lakers need a reliable playmaker and ball handler and he'll be an upgrade over the sh-t show that Rondo has become. Does getting collison mean a guaranteed chip? Nope. But it does make them better which is all a team can ever really aim to be. |
Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 8:08am On Jan 06, 2020 |
zelgiusdigby:Then we should drop Bradley and Cook, cos there's really no need having all those guards. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 8:12am On Jan 06, 2020 |
steady986: Rondo was disappointing last season. He's been horrific this season. He's not what he used to be, no one who watches Lakers games will tell you otherwise. All the man does is dribble down the clock and passes at the last second forcing someone to chuck a shot. People have been letting his shortcomings slide hopeful for "playoff rondo". But you can't keep ignoring what's become a pressing problem that's affecting the rest of the team. Maybe they should bench him until the playoffs. https://theathletic.com/1478503/2019/12/23/rajon-rondo-cant-give-the-lakers-what-they-need-in-lebron-james-absence/ He's not having a bad stretch. Talks of drose to the Lakers and while he has a high ceiling, given his mental and physical fragility I'm not sure it's a risk worth taking. |
