Chamberlain can play from the wings but he is best as a central midfielder. That you saw him on the wings today doesn't change the fact that he is mostly deployed as a midfielder.

I just listed that his goals this season have been from when he played in the wing, except when they played Genk away when he started from midfield.

Those matches, he was one of the front three just like today. The normal three of Mane, Firminho, Salah did not play at all in some of the matches or one/two of them only featured.
