Dr. Tayo Oyedeji @tayooye This week: Plant some seeds. Fools live for today. They eat all they make and make just enough to eat. Wise people live for tomorrow. They plant some seeds to guarantee tomorrow’s harvest. Be wise, plant some seeds. #ThisWeek Some important seeds: 1. Prayer/meditation. 2. Saving/Investing. 3. Reading/education. 4. Spending time with your kids/family instead of friends. 5. Helping your kids with their school work. 6. Giving to those in need. 7. Eating healthy/exercising. This week, plant some seeds. Every week, I focus on something small but impactful and share it here in hope that it will help or inspire someone. Follow me to receive these weekly nuggets. Have a great week ahead. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Partners in the big 4 auditing firms prefer sharing their profits pocketing hundreds of millions of Naira thatn to tie money down on a property in the name of the firm. Their assets are mainly intellectual, goodwill and reputation of the firm 7 Likes |

emmanuelewumi:No sir, they own THAT building and are NOT TENANTS, they actually do it(Profit Sharing) NOT the bolded e.g KPMG Partners are not entitled to salary but profit sharing. A partner in KPMG goes with profit of 100m+ plus unit performance incentive and MUST stay on the Island. October 1 every year wardrobe allownace is give in the tune of 20m+. One of the reasons why Lebanese in Nigeria keep making money as if they own Nigeria is because of the power of pulling resources together...the Chinese people are better at it. With all the millions and expectations on this platform, I expect many guys here to come together and formed a company that will metamorphosed into a bigger organisation in few years time. Ahi,once told us how him and his guys built a 150million worth of filling station in Nigeria. U guys are worth more than this, with the coming together of just ten persons pulling the sum of say 20million each or less, can set up a mega business that will rake in more than 500million in fives year. To add to this, some fuel stations now combine gas station eatery and shops in the same vicinity and many more. Rather than having all ur cash stuffed in one venture where rates are going down,u can as well initiate this crowd funding business ideas and before u know it,a partnership is born. 10 Likes |

Great idea. But, Nigeria has a peculiar problem of trust. You can't count the number of people that have had their hands burnt from such ventures ibechris: 6 Likes |

I recall he did it with other rivals in the same industry. Maybe that played a role because everyone knew the business in and out and so no one could advance a way to outsmart the other. Moreover, they all have their individual assets and name to protect. Where it not for trust, TB will not be oversubscribed. I still think people could have managed with the poor infrastructure in the country if they could find someone or people to trust in areas where they are not able to physically be present. Many people in diaspora have their savings spent by people who they trusted to do things or run their business for them, at least with TB or bonds, you will not hear stories that touch. ibechris: 2 Likes |
