Chamberlain can play from the wings but he is best as a central midfielder. That you saw him on the wings today doesn't change the fact that he is mostly deployed as a midfielder.

Those matches, he was one of the front three just like today. The normal three of Mane, Firminho, Salah did not play at all in some of the matches or one/two of them only featured.

And the worst thing is he wont get sacked anytime soon. Things will have to be really red before he can be sacked.
