Crazy. Every single game now the Lakers build up a lead and then he checks in and the lead evaporates. Teams have had a negative net rating with him on the floor for a few consecutive seasons now. It's too obvious at this point that he's become a problem.

You seem to forget that whenever Rondo's on the court, it's more likely the entire second unit is too.

I was thinking the colts, with that O-line, and those TEs that they have over there, add Frank Reich and the Dome TB12 might consider that if all he wants is to compete.
But if other reasons are included especially his family then LA seems the best choice. Also for the Chargers they can sign him for 2 years and draft Tua if he falls to them, then sit him for at least 1 and let him not only heal up but also learn from the best to ever do it
The Colts are not a bad option as well. I think either one would work.

I won't give Brady a two year deal though. Inasmuch as NE didn't have enough offensive tools it's pretty glaring that there's been a drop in Brady's play and usually the dropoff from year to year by a athlete in their 40's can be very dramatic.

I love Teddy but unless they improve their receiving corps to the level of the Chiefs, where he will be throwing to guys who can take off the top of the defense, he is not the answer.
Maybe not long term but he can work in the interim. Bridgewater will play within his limits and would be less likely to lose his team the game.

More importantly he's younger and knowing his limitations would allow for the Saints to use Taysom Hill even more. The Vikings and pretty much every other team in the league don't have an answer for the guy. I was shocked Sean Payton went away from him

Bigger than the Brees matter is their corners. I don't know if they ever make a SB with those corners as I struggle to remember any game they have come up with a key stop where needed

One of the few people with a negative net rating with Lebron on the floor is rondo. I think he has the worst. Yes our second unit is not anything to write home about but he makes things infinitely worse. There's no way they should be that bad, no way they should be losing 30+ point leads to the suns and their ilk. It's not acceptable.

You seem to have set the bar too high for this team. The only reason this team is considered championship favourites is because of the duo of LeBron and AD. Even one of them alone might not do the job. Take those two away and the team is just another average NBA team. We arguably had more talent around Bron last year, but how well did they fare when Bron was out? It is what it is bro, we just have to scale through to the playoffs and then figure out how we can maximize their potential.

Its not about setting the bar too high or too low. If LeBron and AD are the reason they are seen as favorites shouldnt the lakers try to do everything possible to preserve them? Shouldnt the lakers try to be better as a team rather than relying on their safety net? Part of that is trying to maximize the bench's potential, like i said, the bench may not be filled with world beaters but they have enough to not be trash. Even AD finished with a negative plus/minus yesterday. Rondo is a problem, a problem that can be addressed so why should they just fold their arms and do nothing?

Rondo is a better playmaker, Bradley's as good a defender, if not better. And then there's Caruso who's as good a scorer smiley

So in essence Collins is a player who can give you all three abilities in the same body.

Never understood why Hill didn't get more snaps yesterday, he gave the saints a spark every time he was in. First he pushed the ball deep when he threw it and also what he did on the ground with his legs helped them move the chains.

If this is true the Lakers should jump on it Bogdanovic is as good as a playmaker and shot creator as Kyle kuzma and is a way better shooter than kuz.
Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 1:51am On Jan 07, 2020
We all know Lebron is the most important player in the Lakers. Anybody saying other wise is denying the obvious. We saw them when he went out and when the other guy went out. They had a losing streak with LBJ out.

This is the kind of guy we should be chasing, not Collison grin. But I don't think we should give Kuzma up for him sha cheesy

Watch how he turns to trash off the bench with Rondo.

You need a good trading chip if you want such a good player and Kuzma is that piece for the Lakers. Lose some, gain some. Painfully so, I must admit.
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 9:58am On Jan 07, 2020
Luka Doncic has 10 30pt triple doubles. More than Magic, LeNomad and Oscar Robertson combined before they turned 22. Let that sink in for a sec

What we really need is some tough defensive wings, not duplicating what we already have. Bogdan is shooting 38% from 3 this year. KCP is on 42%, Green is on 38% Rondo is on 38%. Some variety won't be bad.

lattimore is a good CB IMO. There is something off about the team that I can't put a finger to. Maybe its brees? Wilted something bad...a fumble? I don't know. You have a no 1 receiver who's unguardable, a sean payton, kamara was not healthy this season tho, something has to give...and they were unlucky this season...13-3? And still play a wildcard game?
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 2:20pm On Jan 07, 2020
Continuing our "Rondo Out" propaganda.

Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 2:30pm On Jan 07, 2020
Now this is something I can actually get excited about. I wanted the Lakers to get him before the season started but they couldn't. Huge fan of Mook.

Lattimore got hurt but the mismatch was the problem. That ninja was just too small for Rudolph.

Overall Drew was outplayed by Kirk Cousins and his fumble came at a very critical point in the game. He threw less than 90 yards the first 3 quarters and didn't play well enough to not be at the mercy of OT. Same story last year, they won the coin toss and Brees threw a pick where he could have driven for the W. This year well, he didn't even get the chance

The saints need to do in the draft next this year what both the Ravens and the Seahawks did last year and that is draft a speedster with good hands to take the top off the defense.
