austino100: Thanks for providing this link to assuage kingAzubuike's love for preemptive inclinations and nomadic analysis, fed by his personal attractions and opinionated bias. International politics is not based on one's personal assertion, feelings, hearsay, or beer parlor rhetoric, you have to be very objective to see the larger picture of what is most times at stake. This is not a religious maconomy but ideology based conflict, unfortunately those living in the world of paranoia like KingAzubuike e will always think along the parochial line to draw unnecessary sympathy, now that is cowardice. |

kolafolabi:It depends on what you want to believe but to me, I don’t think he was.US messed up big time by killing him. They thought most of their allies and countries would rally around and celebrate but the reverse is the case[except Israel and Uk].Saudi Arabia[One of Iran’s greatest enemy and US greatest ally] said both parties should stop the escalation of tension in the region[which to me is not support].Russia,China,Germany and even some In Uk condemn the action.Pompeo declared after the assasination that Iraqis were dancing on the streets to celebrate the killing. This is all false as even the Iraqi PM attended the funeral procession of Soleimani and even declared 3 days mourning. So,you can see this is a strike gone wrong. If Trump had an inkling the backlash would have been like this,he wouldn’t have done it. Also,Soleimani with US[though through proxies] fought and defeated ISIL in Iraq. What caused their fall out, only time will tell. US should tell the world the targets Soleimani was planning to hit with facts[though most of that information would be classified, some can be de-classified and made public for the world to believe].One other thing, most major news channels don’t call it “killing”,they call it “assasination” because the man is a decorated Major-General in a sovereign country.Only western media term it as “killing”. 3 Likes 1 Share |

MagumForce:Brilliant analysis, when Baghdadi who was the leader of Isil was killed nobody condemned the execution because everybody knows he is a terrorist, but the killing of Suleimani has received wild condemnation even in the US. The man's name was not in the US terrorist wanted list and a ransome was never placed on his head for his capture just like, saddam, udday Hussain, qusay Hussain, Usama Bin Ladin and Bagdahdi. Killing him was wrong, killing him in Iraqi soil was wrong. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I like ur analysis and that's the best they should go but I think is late for Iran to toe ds way. America will never leave Iran untamed and unmonitored. Perhaps they will never trust dem. Though it's clear Iran will not retaliate in any time soon. They will take their time and observe as the things unfold until they ascertain themselves to take the consequences. Moreover, Iran is strictly Shia country and anyone who is familiar with the shiism will know ao esteem they hold self-sacrifice. They will not care if the war consume dem but they wil definitely respond when the opportunity presents itself. CSTR2: |

21cents:According to intels and highly classified info, Soleimani was a terrorist even though he was the head of Iran's Army. We have lots of Nigerian army generals from Hausa-Fulani tribe today who are secret members of Boko Haram terrorist. As sad as it may sound, Muslims always find it difficult to separate their religion from their profession or daily activities, they will always allow their Islamic extremism traits to becloud their judgment in whatever they do, that is the undoing of the dedicated Muslims 1 Like |
