A young woman was attacked in her home by a man who cried to her about how “no one loves him” as he brutalized her, then left her for dead.
Zachary Jolliff, 29, allegedly entered the home of Ariel Holley, 29, a single mum of four young boys, as she was sleeping in her bed with one of her sons.
Police say the man pulled Ariel from her bed, dragged her into a bathroom and raped her – as her children slept in nearby rooms.
Zachary Jolliff was a family friend of the victim. She had hired him to do some work at her house in Denison, Texas.
Ariel Holley reportedly worked as a fitness coach for young mothers like herself. She shared numerous photos on social media of her body during and after her pregnancies, often taken with her young sons.
Jolliff may have seen the photos and become “infatuated” with the brunette after working on her home, reports indicate.
But while Jolliff was seemingly obsessed with the attractive young woman, her sister-in-law said she “barely knew” the man – and didn’t even know his last name.
The suspect apparently used his romantic frustration to justify forcing himself on the young single mum.
During the attack, Jolliff allegedly “cried on her” and told Ariel it was unfair how “she’s happy and he’s not happy.” He told his victim “to comfort him” as he penetrated her, reports say.
Apparently the young lady refused to engage with Jolliff and resisted his advances, which may have provoked his anger.
The man decided to kill Ariel Holley “because nobody loved him,” her family said.
Zachary Jolliff, seemingly enraged by the young social media influencer’s “perfect life,” allegedly smashed Ariel’s neck over the edge of the bathtub “multiple times” to break her neck.
He also reportedly slammed the girl's face against the floor and even tried to gouge her eyes out as he finished violating her body.
The victim’s father and mother were alerted to a disturbance at the home and sped to the scene. They arrived to find Ariel’s ruined body curled up on the bathroom floor in a pool of her own blood.
Miraculously, the young woman’s four children remained asleep during the entire incident.
Police caught Zachary Jolliff and are now investigating the alleged crime of passion.
Ariel Holley’s sister has shared photos of the victim’s bloodied body to raise awareness of violence against women.
A fundraiser page has been set up to raise money for the family’s expenses, and has already raised more than US$75,000.

We don't know, maybe he did ask her out and she said no, so he came back at night to take her by force. Either way something happened as he was doing the work on her house that gave him the idea to go attack her. Maybe a dispute about payment for his work is involved? |
