Iraq military: 22 missiles fired in total
Iraq's military says 22 missiles were launched in total.

Two of the 17 missiles targeting Al Asad did not go off, it said in a statement.

The five on Irbil all targeted coalition headquarters.

Iran's foreign minister says later 'we do not seek escalation or war'

We will not see a war', says UAE
"We will not see a war," says UAE energy minister Suhail al-Mazrouei, via Reuters.

"This is definitely an escalation between the United States, which is an ally, and Iran, which is a neighbour, and the last thing we want is more tension in the Middle East."

Notice the clear statement there that says USA is an ally and Iran a neighbor?? Iran is on its own... The Sunni Muslims are happy with the outcome on the Iranian general, he was a major threat

Though, these can't lead to any world war, but the truth should be said. Why would U.S just invade someone else's country and kill someone, because he was tagged terrorist. If that's the case, why can't U.S. just help us kill Nnamdi Kano, because Nigerian government tagged him and his group terrorists. Hundreds of thousand of Iranian and Iraqi came out to mourn his death. Nnamdi Kano would also be mourn by the Igbos, if killed. There is different between a "tagged terrorist" and a "terrorists proper", Souleiman was loved by his people, and they are not happy with U.S being on their land, U.S should take her soldiers away from Iraq and Iran and should let go their oil. This is more of politics than war, just like in the case of Nigeria.

If truly U.S is the police of the world, and they are not into anything "dirty politics", they should also kill Nnamdi Kano.

Kanu and Biafra were tagged terrorists 3 years ago, and our military were helpful with operation python dance et Al. Souleiman was loved by his people, and hundreds of thousands mourned his death, and even 40 died during the mourning, he was also tagged terrorist by U.S and Isreal.

Politics is more complex than what you all think.

Despite the General been loved, he was a torn in the side of Israel and other Sunni dominated countries.

His elimination was a collaborative efforts, which follows the shock and awe doctrine.

Iran won't recover any time soon because the general was a blueprint to Iran's proxies and the proxy war around the Middle East.
