Hi,
You don’t need any practice center to ace the IELTS test. Get all the tips to pass the test from all of these:
1. https://ieltsonlinetests.com/ (Excellent for listening)
2. IELTS with Jay (YouTube video.. very good for writing and reading tips)
3. IELTS with Liz (Very good for speaking)
If you keep practicing with these three resources you will do very well. I used ONLY those resources to practice for IELTS for only two weeks and my scores were LSRW: 8.5, 8.5,8.5 and 7.0 on my very first attempt.

All the best!
Lovely scores!

1. Use your statement of result.

2. The university would send your transcript directly to WES. Upload statement of result.

Hello House,

My name is Nnenna and I’m new on Nairaland and I’m trying to navigate the rich information on this thread!!! Thanks to all contributors...

Ive been thinking of starting this Canada immigration journey and it’s safe to say I am ready to begin this 2020. That’s my entire goal for this year I’m a beginner Biko wish me well.

I need URGENT help on below ;

1. How can I pay for my WES ( heard Zenith bank Card works is this true? I’ve already opened an account just waiting for my ATM card )

2. Urgent help for any contact in ESUT ( Enugu state university of science and Technology) to help with the Whole WES certificiate verification of my BSC . This would help to avoid back and forth and long delays as I’m in Lagos but I have siblings that can help with any necessary trip.

3. Please any WhatsApp group I can be added to ? I’m yet to take my IELTS but I’ve started studying an plan to take it in feb.

I have been following this thread since last year and I appreciate people that initiate this group and support people. I am starting my process this year. My wife the primary applicant and me the secondary applicant.

THESE ARE MY QUESTION,

1. i will only need to evaluate my wife MSC and not both BSC and MSC?
2. i the secondary applicant will also evaluate my Bsc too?
3. my wife and I run businesses (i'm an interior designer and also an electrical engineer) she also has her business too. We both don't have any evidence of salary or so, because we receive alerts of business transaction in our bank account. WILL THIS AFFECT US CHOOSING OUR NOC?

I WILL APPRECIATE A KIND RESPONSE. THANKS

1. Yes, you can pay for WES with Zenith MasterCard. Didn't use WES but I know someone who did and she used Zenith card to pay.
2. Can't help you with that, someone else who probably went to the same school may.
3.For IELTS, you should watch E2 language and IELTS Liz on YouTube. Follow their guidelines, they are very good at what they do. For writing, you can get a friend or whoever to help assess your writing since you cannot gauge your own progress by yourself. You should also use Cambridge IELTS series books to practice. They are very good.

Hello everyone. Please I have a question.

I know in Nigeria, there is usually an age restriction of 24-26 years, for entry level position.

Is there age discrimination in Canada for a 30 year old who has done her PhD and no work experience?

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps you should ask the landed seniors in the other thread but it's unlikely that there will be such because a lot of immigrants regardless of age and experience start all over in Canada.

Hi everyone,
I have been a silent viewer on this platform. I started following from Part 7.. to say I have been blessed by it is a complete understatement.
In summary, here's my timeline
ITA: April 16, 2019
AOR: May 23, 2019
MEP/BIL Passed: July 9, 2019
VO: Ottawa (I knew this sometime in August after raising CSE)
ADR 1: November 13, 2019 - Schedule A
ADR 2: November 21 2019 - Additional Family & Proof of Sibling relationship
PPR: December 4, 2019
Looking forward to the time where everyone on this thread gets that "Golden Mail".
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by connectgt: 3:02pm On Jan 08, 2020
Simple google search would have answered this your question.

However, let me give you the response you seek. AIPP is employment driven. You need a job offer from canadian employer from any of the 4 atlantic provinces--New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland & Labrador. Once you get an offer, your employer will sponsor your PR application. The requirement is mild compared to express entry. e.g, low IELTS score, low Proof of fund and age requirement. But you must live in the province that nominate you for the first 3 years. For details, check (https://www.nairaland.com/5273969/re-immigrate-canada-through-aipp)

Conversely, Express entry is point based system with CRS score and high proof of fund. And you are free to live anywhere in Canada once you receive your PR. This thread where you asked your question has all the information you seek for express entry.

Hope that helps.

Decision to travel
I have always been a patriotic Nigerian and never believed in travelling out for greener pastures. however, le boo has always been the abroad person but after several visa denials to US and Canada for students visa, we just gave up. my father had always wanted me to go abroad for master but no money. I even tried this jonathan scholarship for masters (i don forget the name of the programme) , i didnt meet cut-off. Every year since 2016, he would plan for relocation, but me i will just yimu that i am not interested. Towards the end of 2018, almost everyone around me started to relocate, i was begining to get out of the shell. Viola my husband mentioned it again 2019 january, and i felt it was time for me to give my son and his siblings a better life.

PRE-ITA

ECA
when there was still waec wahala, with MSC and B.SC from different schools. i created proile march 17th and it was ready june 2019.

IELTS
this is my ielts journey. https://www.nairaland.com/5187408/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/124#79037184
when my ECA and IELTS result was out, i sharply dived into the pool pending spouse ECA and Ielts.

POST ITA

Medicals
i booked medials with Q-life after ITA because it was cheaper and within the days of submission. We left osogbo a day before and stayed with a family friend. our medicals was during the construction of the road , we got there quite early 6.45 to pick number 3. Unfortunately, our passport was not standard enough so we had to take another one for myself and sonthe same day. last last we left around 12.

PCC
Inspector Funke to the rescue, 7k for myself and hubstar.

POF
This was the major hurdle. before i started anything on this journey, i already sat my parents down to discuss every single details and they promised that when i was ready they would help. finally, when Ita landed, pilee trsanfered the 100 percent of POF to me. i didnt invest the money at all, i couldnt get bank reference in cic format. I submitted LOE to explain the breakdown the summary of pof (GIFT DEED AND PENSION) ,Notarized giFT DEED, DAD'S INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT, bank reference letter (not in cic format) , letter of non-indebtedness, 6 month online signed bank statement highlighting the gift deed inflow, screenshot of the exchange rate for that day on xe.com, pension refrence letter and pension statement.

Work Experience
this was quite easy. please and please always check and recheck your documents before submission. i almost submitted a reference letter with the wrong annual salary figure from what is on my employment letter. i discovered a day to submission and had to request for another. I submitted

siblings points
proof of relationship: i submitted our birth certificates, our international passport becuse i changed my name when i got married, our parents marraige certificate because i changed name before marraige, change of name affidavit too.
proof of sibling pr: copr, front and back of pr card
proof of residence: utility bill, lease agreement, pr card:
proof of status: front and back of pr card.
I didn't submit schedule A upfront despite my spouse visa refusal.

POST AOR

AFTER checking and cross-checking, we finally submitted around 11.45pm on AUGUST 28. we got BILMEP on sept 12 but didn't go for biometrics until Sept 20.
Raised CSE to find out about my visa office on October 4th and got a generic response
Raised another one on the 25th of October. Visa office was OTTAWA. WHEN I GOT THE REPLY, I jumped up in excitement as if i got PPR. MY Collegue was looking at me like whats wrong with this one. i told her she cant understand.

SILENCE

Around December, August Aor with Ottawa STARTED GETTING PPR And i was like, wow. that early. Naso me sef anticipate PPR Till i made my 1st call on 2oth of December, the agent said eligibility and criminality is passed. While waiting, a friend of mine adviced me to enroll for the CFA free investment course because I was going to change career when we get to the maple land. After that call, i check my profile like a billion times daily till i caught OJUJU around 4am yesterday. And VIOLA, 11pm, Za eagle landed in my mail. i just called hubstar and said Babes, we have made it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After i found out about my visa officer, I joined the best group OVO , the baddest. That group na real group. the happening group .....from orisirisi we get am there. they are family already because it made the wait worthwhile.
I dedicate this to God and everyone. I pray for those waiting for a positive response at every point in this journey, that your good news is here and will happen. this year will open doors of opportunities for us

i want to specially thank everyone on OVO group, you guys are awesome. all my paddy from @chicyclass , my babes aisah, fawzy, my guy trick, shardarck, bhaloosky, aunty jolie, akin, duke of alberta, adetayo, gerrard, hoppy, DH, ada baby, june, mama hephzibah, oyinlola, obinna.- you guys are awesome...God bless you...i pray for `those expecting PPR, we go parte after parte.

To my darling Brother and his wife, thank you for everything.....

To hubstar, you know i got you baby even though i had to force you to write ielts when you were extremely busy, thank you for not letting my stubborn self say no to relocation last year.

May canada favour us.

As long as you’re legal and authorized to work here, no employer would openly discriminate against you based on age, sex and race, so don’t worry. I’ve met people in their sixties who recently completed college and got into the workforce.
