galaxy2020:Doing that wouldn't be a bad idea but don't think its a yardstick for the beneficiaries to succeed in the labour market if they truly knew the motive of it in the first place, and made the most out it over the years. The main essence of the program was to train and empower the unemployed youths in different skills professions. They acquired skills in the course of the program and I believe the monthly stipends being given to them, they are expected to save something out of it to establish themselves when they are finally disengaged. The federal govt has done more than enough to have extended their stay in their payroll. We should not be too selfish pls |

I want to use this opportunity to thank God for using the npower programme to bring joy and sorcour to me and my family. It's true that the program was scheduled to last for 2yrs and beneficiaries should be grateful that it was extended. I want to plead with FG to employ those that had shown seriousness in discharging their duties.God bless our country Nigeria. 5 Likes |

Is that not better than your ex governors who are serving lawmakers and collecting both pensions and salaries, both in millions of naira? 6 Likes |

galaxy2020: Not this kind of loan they are asking for. What will a loan of 30k-100k achieve if not for pure water street hawking business. Loan for that matter instead of a grant. maasoap: The personnel that manage Facebook account don't have adequate knowledge of the program or when and why payments are delayed. 1 Like |

More crime waiting to explode in the society. Someone worked as casual for 3 years and you just told him to go like that. Definitely, many of them will go back to the street, looking for job, or join criminal gang. |

This is absolutely incredible, used and dumped. I wonder if there is future for any youths in this nation. The 200,000 youths are engaged for more than 2 good years. Here they are, no good plan for them to set them and get them prepared for the challenges of life. What are they going to do with a loan of #100,000? Some of them as graduates enter the scheme at the age of 35 years. Now, government has fruitlessly wasted another 3 years. Tell me when will the life be better for a man of 38 years? From where will he start with a loan of #100,000? Some of them have wife and children to cater for; how will they cope? Some of them dropped their jobs and took up npower appointment, will they start searching for another Job. I think Government should look for another exit plan for them. If the government does not have the capacity to engage all of them, I think they can give huge amount of money to start businesses of there own. Not giving them a loan of #30,000 to #100,000 that can only achieve something but NOTHING. 1 Like |

After three years of their recruitment into the N-Power Scheme, the federal government is set to exit 200,000 of the beneficiaries from the programme. Their disengagement will take place between January and February this year, LEADERSHIP has learnt. |

Every time disengage, Mr President said he will create 500,000 job. So he couldn't fulfil it. does it mean that these 200000 persons can not be posted to govt agencies across the country. |
