freeman67: Asset Management and Investment banking are different and also interrelated related. Asset Management firms have equity mutual fund products, money market fund products, fixed income fund products, Eurobond fund products , REITs , Wealth management products and other derivatives. Wealth management products assist investors in perpetuating their wealth and Investment from generation to generation, through the creation and management of Trust accounts. There are people who earn tens of millions and more annually through such trust accounts . Investment banking involves assisting big businesses/ government etc to raise funds for Investments, businesses and projects etc. The funds can be in form of equity or debt. They act as issuing houses to public offerings, right offerings etc, they are also Investment advisers to businesses, government and High Networth Investors. They also help in the marketing of highly lucrative deals, business and investment opportunities to High Networth Investors. This is just a summary, asset management firms and Investment banking firms do more than these. 4 Likes |

OgogoroFreak: wow. let me run and check. February na cash windfall for me. 4 bonds mature with their final coupons plus 3 Treasury bills. If they are liquidating the TBs before maturity, its kind of strange. i want to suggest you look again on your investment advice, just to be triple sure. Banks really do not like loosing a second of income to anyone. i am forced into thinking the TBs were secondary market (in the bank's control) and the banks are trying to reduce their cash to not default on the CBNs 65% loan to deposit ratio. People no gree come forward to collect loans and if they keep the cash in excess of 35%, na sanction straight from CBN. 4 Likes |

ozymes: comparing the purchased rate with the present low rates, that is even being over subscribed. I think returning investments that were subscribed at high rate shouldnt be a problem. infact, i think they are gaining more.....considering time factor. |

emmanuelewumi: My sentiments exactly. I believe it's an area with very good prospects but with lots of new agri tech companies and lots of money to be made, without the right oversight, it may just be a matter of time before it becomes another ponzi-like scheme. I have no issues testing them out with little money, but the fear is that after that, one is likely to then invest significantly, and that's when they usually start disappearing. Didn't know about that story but it's not surprising. Getting the money is one thing. They using it judiciously and turning out profit in a short while is the real issue I'm looking towards FBN MMF. Though their rates are not so brilliant, but it's more dependable |

jedisco: Invest just what you can afford to lose in the numerous crowd funding Schemes eg 100k and below although I can't invest in such ventures because I don't invest in what I don't understand. Try FSDH Asset Management, their rate is about the highest for now 11% 1 Like |

emmanuelewumi: Just got off the phone with them. Their TB rate is 9.4% which corresponds with what's on the app. Annoyingly, they said the Coral income fund is 8% (whereas 11% is stated on the app). They insist the app has issues and is in the process of being corrected 2 Likes |

emmanuelewumi: this 9.4% being quoted must be one year (prior 12 months) average earnings do not assume that current investment will give that yield |

emmanuelewumi: Their FSDH TREASURY BILLS FUND Said the rate changes daily. Was about 12% before Christmas. I suspect it would continue to decline for now |
